Food was pretty disgusting. The shrimp was way undercooked and mostly soggy batter. The tartar sauce was watery. This was my first and last time trying this place. I'll stick to Pete's on Mesa drive.

I have been a loyal customer of Gilbert Pirate Fish and Chips for quite some time, but unfortunately, my experience during my visit tonight was less than satisfactory. While waiting in line, I noticed the attendant accidentally spilled a drink while serving a customer. I waited from 4:45 to 5:05 for my meal and politely mentioned to a young attendant, a man with a ponytail, that it seemed like he was having a tough day. However, he responded defensively, questioning my comment. I observed him putting the spilled drink into a customer’s car, which unfortunately resulted in soda running down the side of the vehicle. When I explained that my remark was based on the slow service, he continued to express frustration. Overall, I found the service to be lacking in courtesy, and I believe I may reconsider my future visits.

So all I have on me is a 5 dollar bill. So I order a one piece fish and chips and thought wouldn't it be awesome if I had a small soda to wash this delicious food down with. I don't have quite enough money just the left over . 75¢ change. Wouldn't it be awesome if they had a 1 piece fish and chips w/small drink for $5 bucks? Seems like there are always some chips that aren't eaten. Just take a few chips off the combo and everybody is happy. Or I can ask for free ice water and keep the .75¢. Hmmm?

I prefer battered fish but at Pirate’s they serve breaded fish. It’s not bad, and really inexpensive. It was like eight bucks for three good sized pieces of fish and onion rings. The onion rings are really good and are heavy onion not all breading like a lot of places. I think this place needs more lighting, it always looks like it’s closed.

Got here at 840 they tell me they are close nothing more annoying than people who don’t like to do their job I am 100 percent positive the owner wouldn’t agree with closing that early literally over an hour left but hey I guess this business doesn’t care to have business

I was very disappointed, after almost getting hit coming off the freeway I stopped and ordered the 10 piece order of oysters and chips, a coleslaw and an order of fried zucchini like 16.00 $ later, I get home start eating and I didn't have my oysters they were shrimp, the girl even asked to make sure they had some and it says on my receipt, 8 at night knowing I had to be back at work at 4 am I was not driving all the way back to this place. I was very disappointed just eating the zucchini and coleslaw, I didn't even want the shrimp, just ruined my meal and my taste buds were like really ? Really really ? Don't think I'll be going back there again.

I love pirates. Been coming here since it first opened. I remember going to a pirates fish and chips location in the town of Guadalupe when I was a kid with my family. Pirates is very similar to Pete's. I think the food is the same. I love Pete's too

I like both Pete’s and pirates both competition but I got to say that I’m enjoying pirates here at this location of using cards instead of cash the convenience is great ??. That’s sometimes a problem with Pete’s. Who has the better sauce at first pirates had a hotter sauce but now to me Pete’s and pirate are almost same now coincidence who knows. Both shrimp ? tasty I think Pete’s might have more breading over all tasty come and try for yourself. Thank you pirates ?☠️ hit the spot. Gracious estoy lleno….
