unusual in that it's a 5 star food place located at a golf course. But, don't let that be a blocker. We went to compare to their other place up in Cave Creek. The burrata appetizer was very good, this feels like imported from Italy product, not something USA made. The garlic bread with that was super tasty. We tried both pinsa (Rome) and Naples style pizza, since this location has a true wood burning Italian oven. Both were amazing pizzas, and if you have not had pinsa style, you got to try, it's so so good. Lightweight, bursting with different flavors. The pizzaiolo (pizza chef) is a young guy from Naples, where this style of pizza was invented and perfected.Come get the real pizza here. And sit on balcony with the nice golf course and sunset lit Usury mountains view.

Cannot speak for the rest of the menu as we haven’t tried it yet, but their pizza is delicious and rivals a lot of the pizza places in central phoenix and Scottsdale. Certainly the best pizza in Mesa. Surprising hidden gem. Can’t wait to go back and try their pasta

First let me say this is one of the best pizzas I have had in east mesa. I have tried about a dozen pizzerias however when I decided to try a salad that was twelve dollars this is what I got when I got home now I know some places purposely short change on pickup orders because most people won't complain but don't do like I did and make sure to check your order before you leave.

Very good!! Authentic Italian pizza that comes out super fast. They have a full menu full of pastas and entrees. They have Birra Fléa Italian beer that’s imported from Italy and it is the best beer I’ve ever tasted. Simply amazing and much recommend!

Beautiful. Some of the best food I’ve had while in Mesa and the service was quick even with a full patio. Absolutely delicious. The man making pizzas is delightful and all of the workers seem very sweet. I loved this place!!

We read many positive reviews about Pizzacata and decided to make reservations for the 10a Easter brunch sitting. Not sure if this was their first attempt at a brunch service or not. There was the option of ordering off a standard menu or choosing the brunch menu. In hindsight, we probably should have ordered off the breakfast menu. The food being delivered from the kitchen looked very nice and professional. I cannot say how it tasted but it did look nice. Now the buffet...The Easter buffet menu advertised many food items that they would be offered. However, what was advertised for example: creme brulee, house chopped salad and whole roasted pig were not displayed in the buffet set-up. Maybe it wasn't offered for the 10a sitting? Not sure. The restaurant was constant with both patrons and staff but not overly busy. There seemed to be a disconnect with management, servers and bussers with regards to who busses the tables. You had to ask the servers to clear the plates, for coffee, for refills etc. The manager could see what was going on since his presence was on the floor. He could have either directed his staff to clear dishes, or do it himself. Charger plates are not normally left on tables once the food service begins. The buffet food was neither aethestically nor visually pleasing. I should have taken photos, but thought that may be rude. The pork loin was overcooked and dry and not warm. The French toast was mushy and undercooked. Pancakes offered but no butter for them. Breakfast burritos were on the buffet line, but no salsa. When we asked for salsa, one of servers replied "there isn't salsa," but then another server passed by and said, "here, take this one." When our bill was provided, we were charged for soda water and coffee. However, it was advertised that non-alcoholic beverages were included in the price of the buffet. I brought it to the attention of a server and they rectified the matter immediately. I wonder how many patrons were charged for coffee, tea, etc. Total disconnect with the staff.I'm not writing this review to tear apart a business. I've owned a restaurant/bar.I know it can be a struggle. But the management needs to know what needs to be improved and fine-tuned. Mesa is a great city with many local and loyal residents. Good luck with your restaurant. It has so much potential.

We were staying at the Westgate Painted Mountain Resort for a few days with friends in January 2023, and had a fabulous dinner at the Pizzicata Pizzeria Ristorante. The staff and manager/owners were fantastic as was the food and atmosphere. It reminded me of a number of Italian restaurants on the east coast. The only regret is that we didn't try the restaurant earlier in our stay, as we could have enjoyed their great food and dessert for many more days.

Had high hopes for this restaurant after seeing photos of their food and looking at the menu but we were very disappointed. They seemed to be very understaffed and we waited a long time at our table before anyone came to greet us or bring us drinks.Once we did place a drink order, it took a long time to get them and when she came back they didn’t have what was ordered and we had to wait again. We ordered arancini as an appetizer and they were just sauce and mush on the inside. I am a huge fan of these and was so excited to see them on the menu, sadly they were not good. For entrees we ordered pinsas and while they looked good they had no flavor at all. Again, disappointing to spend so much money and not eat our food.
