Overpriced, bland, zero taste!
Sushi - at your own risk. And then had the audacity to charge for the leftover sushi.
Waiter never showed up for refills on food or drinks.

Its time to punish poor service with bad food in thiis economy !!!!

Fast. Huge selection. A bit expensive vs other hot pot. This is better quality.

At 2:35 PM today, on 10/1/24, as I was on my phone, I got a pending charge from PK Shabu and Grill.
Totally freaked me out because the last time I was there was 8/18/24 and I live and am currently an hour away. Worst part is they're closed at the moment and their phone number is no longer valid.
My family and I go pretty often and love the service and we even know a few of the servers there. I hope their management sees this and reaches back out because this is totally weird.

It's a little cheaper than other AYCE hot pot places, but broth isn't very flavorful & sauce station doesn't have all the options I expect to see. There's more variety in the veges & buffet items, but less variety of meat. Service is a little slow when asking for more broth & meat.

Great Service, but the Food Falls Short

I recently visited PK Shabu in Mesa, and while the experience was decent, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to assist with anything we needed, and it deserves four stars.

However, when it comes to the food, I’d rate it three stars. They offer a variety of meats, vegetables, and even sushi, which is nice in theory. But unfortunately, the quality didn’t quite hit the mark. The vegetable selection wasn’t very appealing, and the meat was chewy.

In my photo, the spread looks great, but in reality, the flavors are lacking. The broth—I got the Mala one—was quite bland and didn’t add much to the meal.

All in all, while PK Shabu offers a lot of options and fantastic service, the food could use a boost in both quality and flavor.

I like this place for hot pot, sushi is available again limited but it's an option. Service can be slow so expect that. The meats and the buffet for veggie and seafood has enough variety for everyone.

The quality of food has gone down hill. We went once a while back when the AC was down and the quality was good. Today we went the food was terrible and the service was bad. We ordered almost 7 different sushi rolls and only received 2 rolls after continuously reminding them. We ordered a poke bowl and the fish was still frozen and the rice was hard. (POSTED BELOW) DO NOT RECOMMEND. The hot pot quality has also gone downhill, ordered a tom yum soup base and was brought out a different soup base and just told to put tom yum powder in. The squid and intestines for the hot pot seemed very mushy and old. Everything did not taste fresh but rather frozen and old. The dirty dishes were stacked on our table and no one took it in. We ate with dirty meat and vegetable dishes on our tables. As we were eating a guy grabbed the hand roll dish from our table and brought it to the back without washing it & placed another hand roll on it and gave it to another table. We will not be coming back.

Would not seat us an HOUR before close. Drove over 3 hours and was turned away at 10pm on a Saturday when their restaurant hours are open until 11pm

Showed up at 10pm from a 3 1/2 hour drive with a hungry family and looking forward to trying this place before checking into the hotel and they turned us away saying we did our last seating 20 minutes ago. They are open until 11pm

There was something for all of us! Great hospitality and service. Everything was clean! The whole family enjoyed dinner. Wish that there were more of these restaurants with this quality ?

Kid-friendliness: There was something for everyone, including me with shellfish allergy, one who loves SPICY, medium spicy, and mild.

This is my favorite place to eat. There's so many option to chose from for broth, vegetables and meat and everything is delicious not to mention all you can eat and a sauce bar where you can create any kind of sauce you could want! 10/10

Food is decent and broth is as tasty as you make it (I had miso). Do like the free cheesecake dessert they offer you and the shelf of various ramen noodles you can take to put in your broth is nice.

My issue is that there is a very repulsive smell entering and being in the building because of all the swamp coolers they're using so you'll have to bear with it the whole time you're there. Secondly, when you get the bill, there is an additional 3.5% "processing fee" tacked onto it which is a bit ludicrous for a business to pass that onto the customer.

If they could fix the two issues then I'd rate this higher and be more inclined to revisit.
