Yum yum yum!!! The breakfast options are bomb here. They have non pork options, which is so rare for breakfast spots! Also, every coffee I've tried here is delicious! The couple that owns it are so sweet, and it really has that family vibe and appreciation for culture.

Stopped in this past week while visiting town, and unfortunately, it was a bad experience. The food tasted old, and the drinks were overly sugary, made me feel sick to the point I almost threw up. I brought it up to the staff, but they dismissed it and said they don’t get complaints like that and it must be from something else. Pretty rude. I’d recommend staying far away from this place. Will never be back.

Little shop with a lot of personality! Latte was very well made. Coffee flavor was smooth and the strength of the coffee came through. Not a coffee bean waved over water as you find at other places. Empanadas were the perfect bite. $5 for 2 seems reasonable, and the filling was generous. Little shop area with costa rican items for sale, too. Super cute spot is not to be missed.

Pura Vida coffee is delicious! The coffee itself is so good and there's so many different flavor options. The owner has always made my drinks and he is so friendly. Way better than any chain coffee shop.

The east valley was seriously lacking in coffee shops until Pura Vida popped up. They have a solid cold brew and a solid espresso shot. The bagels are the best around. No longer do you have to grab a crappy coffee at a diner, or support the big guy (Starbucks)
They offer a small menu of breakfast items, a few pastries, coffee, specialty drinks and teas. They also have a lot of fun Costa Rica merch, beans and coffee brewing supplies.

This place is fantastic. The staff members are friendly and welcoming, the interior is comfortable and cozy, and my drink was super refreshing. If I am in the area again, and need a place to relax, I would definitely consider coming here again.

Wow! I got their Lobo with coconut milk and it is divine. You can actually taste how incredibly good the coffee itself is, instead of just the flavorings. The Costa Rican art and rainforest decor makes for a beautiful atmosphere and they have a gift shop area with some truly lovely handmade items. I will definitely be back.

Loved it!!! I got the Lobo with brown sugar creamer and it’s delicious. I also loved the little candies they had to try from Puerto Rico!

We came in about 5 minutes before closing. We asked to see if it was ok and if anything on the menu that they've already cleaned the equipment for so we can avoid those. He was so polite and welcomed us without any issue. He even went out of his way to offer ice cream from his food truck for our younger member of our party! We all enjoyed dirty chai lattes, the lemon blueberry muffin, and a coconut sweet pastry...and of course our younger member an ice cream sandwich. Thank you much for being our treat for that day!

This is one of my favorite coffee shops and it’s not just for the coffee! You’re always greeted by the owners with a smile on their face. It’s great to see someone proud of their heritage and ready to let the rest of us experience it through coffee and the wonderful snacks they have. Be sure to visit when they have the cookie butter latte it’s one of their hidden gems!!!! All the best from service, to the coffee, to the whole vibe.

The vibe is cozy. I could kick back there for hours. The coffee is awesome, and the owners are pretty chill. This location is off the path without a lot of food places in the Plaza, but I say stop by anyway. Bring your laptop or a book and relax in this Costa Rican getaway in Mesa. Try the Lobo.
Thanks, Lobo and Angie.
