Food was all blah and a waste of money . The meatballs were alright .
Caprese salad came with a unripped tomato with no flavor . The chicken ordered with the salad came on a plate separate that had no seasoning like it was boiled . The calamari tasted like rubber as did the muscles which had no sauce to dip bread .

We took our niece, who hails from Wisconsin, to Sam & Luca for dinner when she visited us a couple of months ago. None of the four members in our group had ever dined there before so we figured - why not try them out?
Hands down that was the best decision we made that day.
Having entered Sam & Luca we were immediately impressed by the warm Tuscan atmosphere. We ordered and shared a variety of food - calamari frittata, mozzarella sticks, and antipasto board to start - then came the tasty shrimp scampi, chicken piccata, chicken marsala, pan seared salmon, clams linguine, pappardelle bolognese, and grilled shrimp risotto. Finally, when could eat no more, we thought it only appropriate to finish off the evening with dessert and oh my, as the famous adage goes “that was the icing on the cake”!
We found that the food was outrageously delicious! Adding to this, we also found the service to be exceptional - both the server and the manager - and actually, the rest of the staff there that evening were also quite friendly and very pleasant.
Sam & Luca is now our favorite Italian bistro!

Excellent Italian. Menu just the right size not too much but selection hits all the Italian favorites. Rotating chef special menu. Desserts are great too. One is left with the impression it is all home made. So good.

My husband and I were excited to go to the restaurant especially with all the great reviews and is not a chain. Unfortunately, our meal was disappointing- the clam pasta sauce did not have flavor and was not seasoned. It basically tasted like clams in water over pasta. The chicken Marsala lacked zest and the sauce was brown gravy that resembled store bought. The waitress brought the manager over who was very defensive about our complaint and stated their premade sauce has all the ingredients…. That’s exactly the problem- it wasn’t fresh, no herbs, zest or garlic. We still paid full price even though I sent my meal back and my husband spoke with the waitress. The manager offered to make something else but after two strikes we were not receptive to additional food. The bread, and Caesar salad were good and the waitress was nice. Stay away from the main entrees. In the future, when customers are being polite and discreet in providing feedback, please take the information as an opportunity to make corrections- do not become rude, defensive or intimidate.

Amazing ambience which is so hard to find. Great happy hour menu, and staff was 2nd to none. Everyone so happy to say hello even the server who wasn’t taking care of us. Alyssa made sure we had an amazing experience.a true gem!!
