The fried zucchini was good, the salmon was okay, the table was comfortable, and our server was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately, I did not like the taste of the risotto, and the asparagus was underdone. My wife did not enjoy her chicken piccata, and the fettuccine had an unusual taste. I wish I had ordered the lasagna (which someone else at our table enjoyed.

From the outside it looks like your basic crowded mesa restaurant with nothing special, but once you go inside it's like entering a small ma and pops restaurant in Italy. The hostess got us seated quick and our server provided all the info we needed to choose what we wanted. The table setting with candle made it romantic for our first date and the food tasted amazing and was actually delivered hot and fresh. I would and have already recommended this place to people I know.

This was our first time at Sam & Luca Italian Bistro. Service was wonderful, food was good, but not incredible. My short rib was 50% fat. The others had short rib and their meat was way better. All three of us had risotto and it was undercooked.

We had 1 appetizer, 4 pasta dishes, 3 desserts, and 5 beverages – no alcohol- and walked out paying $225 for 4 adults.
