The food here was nothing short of exceptional. I started with the jalapeño poppers which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. For my main course, I had the aguachile roll and the guamuchilito roll. I could tell that every ingredient was fresh and of the highest quality. The service was also top tier. Our server Mario was very attentive, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable. I highly recommend Señor Sushi in Mesa to anyone looking for a a great dining experience.

***I’m convinced everyone leaving 5 star reviews are family members or friends of the owner or management. There’s no way the staff here gets a 5 star rating. I’ve visited this spot several times because the food is consistently good. However, the customer service is crappy. I’m one who is shy and hates confrontation. I don’t like rude customers and I know I’m not a rude customer. I don’t even like asking waiters for extra condiments because I don’t want to be a bother. I let a lot slide, however this recent experience ultimately pushed me away for good.
During my visits, the staff can come across as unapproachable. I’ve seen them give attitude and ignore other customers. For example during a time I dined here, my group felt hesitant to ask for simple things like water refills, as requests were sometimes met with reluctance or forgotten altogether. This made the dining experience less enjoyable.
This last time in an attempt to avoid potential discomfort, I opted to place a takeout order over the phone. Unfortunately, the experience was equally bad. The staff member suddenly pretended not to understand English and hung up on me twice refusing to have anyone else help me. I figured based off previous visits that maybe they were short staffed because this place has the same waiters pick up the phones and she just didn’t want to deal with an order over the phone but to hang up on me twice and not wanting to pass me to someone who had the time to take my order was ridiculous. This place let me down when I was relying to have their sushi as the main food for my party.
It’s disappointing because the food here is genuinely good. Prior to this incident I was already hesitant to recommend this place to people I know because the service is horrible and the environment depending on the staff can become hostile. That phone call experience was what pushed me to decide never to come back and share my experience because it was really frustrating. I hope the management takes this feedback into consideration.

Awesome experience great fusion big menu many choices
Husband loved the shrimp tempura. Everything else is below average. Had a caterpillar roll and a Guamuchilito roll. Crunch and sauce was best part of the roll.

Way over priced for the quality of fish served. Really disappointing. Sakai serves some of the same rolls way better quality of fish and over 5 dollars cheaper. Sorry Senor won't be returning. Shame as I live walking distance.
