Just ate there for the first time tonight and was beyond impressed with the food. We had the beef and broccoli biang biang noodles and the black garlic shrimp biang biang noodles. The noodles were sensational, the meat was good quality (and I'm very picky about this), and the sauces were delicious, especially the black garlic. We will 1000% be back!

Shaanxi Chinese Restaurant on N Dobson Rd in Mesa was truly an unforgettable experience. Our family of ten went there to celebrate a special occasion, and from start to finish everything exceeded expectations.
The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, with a perfect balance of authentic charm and modern comfort. The music set a warm and energetic tone that made the evening feel festive and inviting. It wasn’t too loud or distracting—just the right touch to keep the energy up and complement the dining experience.
The food was exceptional. Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and served hot and fresh. The menu had an impressive variety of authentic Shaanxi-style dishes, and each one had that perfect homemade feel that you can only get from a kitchen that truly knows its craft. Favorites from our table included the hand-pulled noodles and the lamb skewers, but honestly, everything we ordered was outstanding.
The service was another highlight. The staff was attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, especially for a large group like ours. They made sure we were comfortable, helped us choose dishes that suited everyone’s preferences, and kept our table organized and well-served throughout the evening.
It’s rare to find a place that delivers on food, service, and atmosphere all at once, but Shaanxi Chinese Restaurant did exactly that. Whether you’re going for a family dinner, a celebration, or simply to enjoy great authentic Chinese food, this restaurant is a gem. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit.

First time here… I will always recommend someone because my experience may not be theirs. My experience, however, is that the flavor was amiss. I ordered chines sausage fried rice and spicy dumplings. On the flip side of that, the food was fresh, the vegetables were fresh, the establishment was serene and clean, and the people were nice. I will give it another shot with a different dish before I completely count it out.
No service but forcing people to give tips.

My absolute favorite Chinese restaurant. I have to go every time we come to visit our son. The best Chinese food I’ve ever had. My favorites are the egg drop with seaweed, the beef tripe, the cucumber salad, and any of the curries…so far. They have so many options it’s hard to choose. Very friendly staff with great service. Love the atmosphere and tonight they had a woman playing beautiful live harp music. Thank you!

Fantastic Shaanxi food here!! The biangbiang noodles are worth the stop alone--tender, slurpy, satisfying. I love that you can get a dry stir-fry pot here with lots of veggies, tofu, and quail eggs! I also recommend the garlic eggplant and the exquisite stir-fried cabbage. The numbing mala peppers and spices here are used with precision, making it the kind of place you keep thinking about after the first meal. I placed a large, varied order with friends during the dinner rush so our food did take a moment to be ready, but the lag was pretty understandable given the circumstances, and not worth removing a star since the food was just perfect. Highly recommend!

Used to love this place — now it’s awful. Service was non-existent unless we begged for it, even for water. Had to call multiple times just to pay, and the server stood there pressuring us about the tip. Food’s gone downhill too. Never coming back.

Went to Shaanxi for lunch yesterday and the BiangBiang noodles did not disappoint, so yummy, and perfect texture. Stir fried eggplant and green beans were delicious, cumin lamb was amazing. The rou jia mo was flavorful. The braised spicy chicken had tons of potatoes and the chicken was chopped really small and with the bones it was hard to enjoy. We didn't care for the dish, I did like the tingly. We would go again and try more of the menu.
Restaurant is very clean and our server, Shirley, was helpful.
