We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years at least five food was always stellar. The last five months something has very much changed! I don’t know if it’s a new owners different cooks, what it is, but we’ve had a bad experience several times now. And will no longer be going back. The last three times we’ve gotten hot and sour soup it’s tasted and smelled like cow patty. And again that used to be a regular item we got so we know something has changed. I’ve gone several times before and have gotten light sauce or sauce on the side trying to be on a diet. This time I was told it was impossible, which was weird so then I made my order and I got the wrong dish with the wrong protein and it was just dripping with water no sauce at all. My friend ordered Thai chicken and got sweet-and-sour chicken that was breaded when the picture online shows Thai chicken with the description and doesn’t show it being breaded. The waitress then argued with my friend for several minutes, trying to explain that that was Thai chicken. However, there was no basil in it. It was breaded and there was no special chilies. We ordered soup two appetizers and four entrées. Again have been coming here for years. Typically the soup comes out first then we get our appetizers and then shortly later here come the entrées. This time was extremely messed up. Got one entrée with nothing else on the table then a second entrée came out then the next two entrées came out at that point, two of them were wrong. We then waited for our server to come back and asked her for our soup and appetizers and she said they take a while to make. Again, not our first time coming to this restaurant so we know that’s not true. We also got four entrées, which means we should’ve gotten four servings of rice or at least a bowl of rice with our food nothing. The soup finally comes, and then one of the appetizers come which later we found out no one ordered eggrolls. We ordered the crab puffs and potstickers neither sound like eggrolls. Overall, the whole experience has been very disappointing and now we will be looking for a new restaurant. Food quality service have all gone downhill. I highly recommend going somewhere else.
It's hard for me to recommend this to others after eating it. There was nothing wrong with the noodles, but the cured pork had almost no juice, which was different from the cured pork in my impression. The buns of Roujiamo are crispy buns. I’m not sure if they are authentic. They are not the same as the ones I had in Shaanxi.

Our family just had an excellent lunch here. The food is authentic and omg so delicious! Amazing flavors. The service was attentive and fast. We had the biangbiang noodle, egg and tomato noodle, cold noodles, two Chinese burgers, and lamb skewers. The noodles are handmade! Everything was excellent.

Very delicious authentic Northern Chinese cuisine. It is definitely worthy of every penny you spend. HOWEVER, Northern style Chinese food could be considered an acquired taste for some Americans, especially if they are not adventurous at all.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at this restaurant. We ordered eggplant two different ways, biang biang noodles, spicy dumpling, soup dumpling, lamb skewer, and toothpick lamb. The service was very slow; I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt of being understaffed. The live music was a very nice touch. Overall, I will return.

This is the most amazing Chinese food i have experienced. The handmade noodles are amazing! I wish i knew the owner's name but him and his wife (?) are wonderful, kind people always able to make incredible suggestions (if you like trying new food). It is my go to every few weeks. I just can't get enough of their noodles! It is also incredible to watch their Chinese tv station and the amazing looking food from China's regions. It makes me want to visit the real China! Maybe one day.

In my inner self-evaluation, there is definitely nothing to say about the top 3 Chinese restaurants in Phoenix!

Definitely go for the noodles. My personal favorite is the stir fried cumin lamb but the other noodle dishes are great too.

Wow. Where do these positive reviews come from?
My partner and I ate there once before in the fall and it was not great.
We thought to try again, due to decent reviews. Maybe we missed something.
It was godawful. Ridiculously overpriced and pretty gross.
We had four items, for take out, which cost $60+.
Spring rolls. Crunchy on the outside, rotten mush on the inside. $7.
Fried eggplant, listed as an entree for $16. One piece of Chinese eggplant fried with some spices and cilantro. No rice, no noodles. Ridiculous.
Lamb special: Pao Mo. A gelatinous disgusting inedible mess. Gross. $16.
House chow mein. Three pieces of shaved beef. No shrimp, no pork, no chicken. Maybe an ounce of protein, $16.
Service was contemptuous without a smile. No utensils, no napkins, no white rice, no soy sauce, no mustard, no fortune cookies.
The place was empty on a Friday night at 6pm. Too bright and dirty.
$61. With tax somehow.
Never again.
Don’t waste your time or money.
It’s gross.

Biang biang noodles were amazing. Bean jelly with chilli oil was great too. Good portion, not too big. The waiting staff were very friendly. Loved it. Would want to come here every time I visit Tempe/

We had oil seared noodle and fried bean jelly, both are made fresh and full of flavor and spice they need. The service is prompt and friendly, it is probably one the few Chinese restaurants I have been that actually serve authentic food.
