This is in a food court of a shopping center but don’t be deterred because of that! The food is absolutely phenomenal! We demolished the Bibimbap in a stone pot. The topokki that reminded us of what my Korean mother in law would make for us and felt comforting. It hit the sweet and spicy notes that we’ve been searching for. My daughter also got a tofu soup and was excited that she could choose her type of meat and actually got dumplings in it. It was so delicious we didn’t even get before pictures. But lord have mercy, I might even go back tomorrow!

Stood at the counter for 10 minutes and no one took my order. Need to have counter consistently staffed otherwise customers will leave and never come back

Seafood Pancake tasted average compared to Bay Area’s offerings. Regular bowl Beef Bibimbap has sunny side egg on top of fresh vegetables and seasoned beef was delicious.

Terrible service and cashiers. I always order from another place and decided to try a new place from the food court. I asked for help deciding between two plates. They didn't bother to explain with a terrible attitude. I decided not to pay any mind and order. I wasn't given the option to choose the meat for the dish, i was just offered vegetables. Since the image of the dish is mostly vegetables I thought they asked if I wanted the dish as is. After being charged $18 for a plate of rice and vegtables, the cashier immediately leaves with my friend waiting to order. After patiently waiting the cashier returns to ask "what we are waiting around for." She didn't even excuse herself after we told her she left us waiting to place another order. When I finally asked for the meat of my platter, the staff didn't do anything to fix the problem but blame me for the miscommunication.Honestly I just wish I would have listened to my gut and ordered somewhere else with the trash service offered here.

You don't go for the atmosphere to this place since it's technically a "food court", but this place is actually amazing, so glad I stumbled across it because it became of of my favorite places to go to when I'm craving Korean food. I 100% recommend this place.

This is my favorite place to eat at inside of the H Mart Mesa foodcourt! As its a food court, the experience is different compared to a restaurant. You walk up to the booth, check out the menu, then select the meal you want (and any drink you want) and wait to hear your ticket number to get your meal. The meals served at SoGongDong are served on metal plates on top of wooden platters on tray (they can be heavy so be careful). I went with my family and we got to try 3 different dishes. My favorite is the Korean style omurice, with lots of cheese and green onions as the topping. The servings are very generous, and the plating is colorful and fun. I love their food and want to try their rice bowls next.

Vegetarian options: They have tofu dishes.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair accessibility but be careful when it gets crowded.

Food was excellent. I found the portions to be very generous. Service was slow but they were very busy so that's understandable. I will be back.I had the chicken bulgogi, no rice extra veggies. Was suggested the bulgogi udon but cannot have the carbs. He asked if the miso soup was ok, very thoughtful.Heard them talking in the back. They were very careful to get my order right and the food was flavorful and delicious. Better than what I make at home.
