We have eaten here twice, the first time approximately February 2023 and again just today, November 2024. The ownership recently changed. The quality of food, the portions and the prices were all 5+ star in 2023. Today, we were extremely disappointed and will not go back. The portions were probably half the size as previously. The quality of the food was average at best and the prices the same as before. There was such a a difference that my 10 year old made comments. If you are considering visiting look for reviews and comments dated mid to late 2024 or later.

I have been coming here for months under the previous owners. The new owner(s?) have friendly service and reopened dine-in. Their sushi rolls are nothing special so far but you should still give them a shot.

I paid $42 plus tip for to-go: 1 crunchy roll, 1 spicy tuna roll, 1 salmon roll.

All of the rolls are significantly smaller now. Yes there are more pieces of the rolls - now there are 10 pieces of roll vs 8. However the width of the rolls has changed significantly. For reference, the old rolls were thick - approximately the diameter of a coke can. These ones are the same size that you find most places: about 1 inch by 1.5 inches. This wouldn’t matter as much if not for two factors.

1. the old rolls gave me 2 meals - 1 per roll. Cost per meal was approximately $10-14 depending on what rolls I got. I bought 3 new rolls today and barely have two meals. That means my cost per meal has just jumped up to $20 per meal.

2. There is significantly less fish. The old rolls were so large because you got thick pieces of fish. I loved their salmon and tuna rolls because the fish was tasty and at the forefront of the roll. For reference, I dissected a few of the new salmon roll pieces and the salmon was 1cm by 3 cm by maybe a 1/4 cm.

I understand they probably want to save money - I would rather pay more per roll for the old rolls though because you could really taste the fish and its quality. OR get the old rolls at 6 pieces instead of 8 to be honest. In these new rolls. I could barely taste the salmon at all. Just rice.

Overall, am I extremely sad that the rolls have changed - yes. But if you never got to experience the old rolls, you should give these a shot before ruling them out. I have yet to try the katsu curry again and the crunchy roll was small but still flavorful.

A perfect family restaurant. They serve Salmon belly which is the best part of Salmon for Sashimi. They also have some special fish Sashimi such as Tuna Toro that you are hardly to find in other sushi restaurants. I do believe they have a unique supplier for those ingredients instead of 90%+ of sushi restaurants providing nearly same menu. I visited a lot of sushi restaurants in this area and most of them are using packed frozen ingredients.

SUSHI ROLL is so huge!!! Pork curry is good.
Price is fair even cheaper than other sushi restaurants.
Once I left my phone in this place after lunch and they extend business hour for waiting me back.

What a gem! This is going to be a repeat spot for me. I spent about $112 for 5 rolls and 1 Fire Washington Bowl, and there was more than enough food for 3 people. We are all so full as I type this out.

Like everyone else has said, the rolls are huge and this place is take-out only. Seems like they had online ordering too. The lady in the front was super sweet.

The place looks cutesy and Japanese, so I suspect it’s Japanese-owned which is the first I’ve seen in this general area.

The rolls are all nearly thick as a coke can (so beware in case that’s not your thing). The flavors and ingredients are quality and delicious. We got the Mac Daddy, Las Vegas Roll, Compton roll, Jpop roll, Eel Avo Cucumber roll, and a Fire Washington bowl. We had to put the bowl in the fridge bc we did not expect such big rolls. We loved each roll.

This place is just one door, in the same plaza as a pizza place and a Goodwill. My big order took less than 20 minutes.

My only regret is not trying this place sooner. If you haven’t given this place a chance, please do, and you won’t regret it.

Very welcoming and definitely the biggest and best sushi I have had at a super affordable price. I couldn't even finish it. I bought the Dragon Roll and edamame beans and it took them only 5 minutes to complete my order.

Everything tasted so fresh. From the crab filling to the eel topping, perfect.

It is a lot more difficult to eat due to its size and not being bite-sized anymore, but I honestly can't complain. If you have good chopsticks skills, you will be fine.
