When we first arrived, I had high hopes . . . We ordered, and I confirmed that the mushrooms in the omlet would be FRESH. Waitress said absolutely fresh! Food came out - looked fabulous! The mushrooms, though - for sure, are not fresh! They were slimey and looked like canned or stored in water or something - but for sure, not freshly cut!
Then the waitress' service plummeted! I asked about mushrooms, and she said, "I can bring you a fresh mushroom and show you." Of course, they have some fresh mushrooms - you make salads and such! After this exchange, she came and refilled everyone's coffee but mine and then refused to come back to the table. Sent a different person to deliver check and box.
I did update this review to 3 stars based on the other food. The eggs were cooked perfectly! The home fries were great. Hashbrowns were a tad on the cold side but were good. The breakfast burrito was on point as well.
We will go back but wont sit with that waitress (she was a brat) and will not order anything with mushroom! And the coffee was good and fresh too!

Horrible
😔One step up from a Denny's. The service was very slow and multiple items were not delivered to the table and this party of 7 in the farrrr😅 back corner of the restaurant will not be returning. The kids meal came out about 30 mins before the last plate of food.
Kid-friendliness: Nice kids menu with plenty of choices 😁

My son and I went on a breakfast place tour and this place always stands out for me as the best so far. It checks all my boxes for ambiance, selection, flavor, portions, and service. I look forward forward to the experience everytime I can find time and a loved one to share breakfast with. This last time was delivery because my birthday treat would have expired.

The Broken Yolk Café offered a delightful breakfast experience, though not without a few minor hiccups.
My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict, which turned out to be a highlight of the meal. The yolk was perfectly runny, blending seamlessly with the creamy hollandaise sauce. It was a satisfying and well-executed dish—exactly what you'd hope for in a classic Eggs Benedict.
I opted for the country fried chicken with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit. The chicken was flavorful with a crispy, well-seasoned crust, and the scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. The hash browns had a nice golden crust, adding just the right amount of crunch. However, the biscuit was a letdown. It arrived cold and dry, lacking the buttery, tender texture that elevates a good breakfast biscuit.
Overall, the meal was enjoyable, and the café's strengths lie in their breakfast staples like Eggs Benedict. However, the lackluster biscuit stood out as a missed opportunity in an otherwise solid meal. A little more attention to detail on that front would make for a near-perfect breakfast experience.

Uber drivers keep you waiting for 30-40 minutes. They do not increase the time when the order arrives. I've been waiting for 30 minutes

We got the mimosa flight. The biscuits and gravy and the mile high omelet. Both delicious. Sarah D was amazing and made sure our lil guy was well taken care of. (His food came out first, she offered to have his orange juice watered down and gave us bendy straws.) We will definitely be returning to try other tasty menu options. (Don't mind the photo of the kids breakfast he chowed into it before I remembered to snap a photo.)
