This is your, around the corner, Midwest vibe, breakfast-leaning, restaurant.
It feels like you could've, busted dishes, if you were short-changed, back in the day.
Me and my mom patronized Broke Yolk on Valentine's Day '26. They have a food challenge and multiple locations.
We'll go back 🤗
Very long wait. The food is ok. The gravy was like paste. Not worth the wait.

Really disappointed. Food was underwhelming. The cinncakes my wife got which is the featured item has very little of the topping it comes with and was extremely dry.
The ranchero skillet I got I asked for a Sunny side up egg, not an easy egg with the egg white running still clear. I immediately lost my appetite. They remade it but gave me an over medium cooked egg which the yoke (the yellow part) wasn’t even runny.
I asked for the food to go at that point and the bill and was not even comped for the food. Server gave us $6 off the order I didn’t even finish a third of.
I’m grossed out and breakfast was ruined for both of us.
My stomach is so uneasy now and we didn’t even eat the hash browns at that point either.
Waste of money, you mean to tell me the cook… At a breakfast place… cannot cook an egg properly so they , the kitchen, decided for me to cook the ‘fixed egg’ all the way through?
Most likely going to dispute this transaction all together. We have pictures to give to the bank for proof.

This is such a cute and wholesome place. I have been here before with my family. The service is excellent, staff is super polite.
But the food? Not impressed at all. In fact, it is the worst breakfast I've had in my entire life.
There is so much to choose from on the menu. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. A full stack.
And at first, it was okay.. It was actually huge.... but I noticed how the texture was too chewy. Way too much lemon zest. It was so unpleasant. The blueberries were sour. Too much butter. The pancakes were homemade, but they tasted like cardboard. And the syrup was too sweet. Glad I only tasted it, because it would've made it 10 times worse. Oh, and they snuck a few chocolate chips in there.

Our server Juli Was the absolute best. I have A breast-feeding daughter with a dairy allergy. Therefore, I cannot have any dairy. Juli Went into the back and made sure that I could have Any breakfast that I wanted I settled on the French toast crunch and it was so good! I was so amazed at the service and then being able to accommodate me! 10 out of 10 next time I’m getting breakfast. I’m coming here!!

I have only been here twice, both times the food and service was great. Servings are large. Diner and bathrooms were clean. The menu had a lot of options. I felt the prices were pretty average especially for the size of portions.
