I like trying different, local places so when I heard about the Latin Kitchen, I knew I needed to check it out! They have a great menu with a variety of choices without being overwhelming. I have been here several times now and I get something different each time. My favorite is the Cuban sandwich. I have had a hard time finding a good Cuban in the Phoenix area and this was is on point. They have some cool little appetizer plates too and I like testing them out since some of the dishes are new to my tastebuds. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Tables and decor is inviting and relaxing. It's in a nice spot, easy to find and good parking setup. Will be a regular here.

I love Caribbean Food, and The Latin Kitchen is as good as I've ever eaten. It was delicious. We enjoyed the food, the people, the real decor, everything. I have nothing but praise for the place.

Drove a long way for lunch on a Friday, place was closed. Super dissappointed, we were long time fans of Havana Cafe. Looks like it's closing for good?

Either closed for remodeling or closing for good. Drove a long way for a Friday lunch but the CLOSED sign was up. Front door unlocked but the place was vacated and nobody at home. No bean fritters and no explanations.

Terrific Cuban restaurant. Got a whole bunch of takeout for the family. Ropa vieja, marinated chicken, maduros, mofongo, flan. Freakin' delish....all of it. Nice folks running the place. Right up there with the best I've had in South Florida. Huge portions at really moderate prices. Thanks to the Yelpers who put me onto this place. It's a winner.

Hello I found this little gem thanks to you guys (Yelp) when I was searching for Latin American restaurants around town. ( my parents are from Colombia) so it's hard to find a good place even though we found one or two that my family and I go to frequently but you know it's time to switch it up. The decor is really pretty they have these really nice colorful tables and bright pictures on the wall. There is lots of seating so you never have to worry if there is no table or anyting. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and a side of chicken & beef empanadas. Both were delicious. My parents shared the bistec sandwich. They loved it. I ordered the flan, cause according to Jerry (points below) it's "excellent" & he was correct! I definitely recommend this place because you know what they say about hole-in-the-wall eateries they are always the best it's not really great location because it's all industrial all around but whatever the drive is worth it.

Fantastic Cuban/Latin food at a great price! Formerly Havana Cafe, they've downsized, but same chef and same great good. Highly recommend Latin Kitchen for a fantastic lunch during the week or until 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

This is some of the best Cuban food I have had in Arizona. Their food has an authentic taste, their prices are good, their service is friendly and their flan is excellent. The food here is extremely good and tastes very much like what you would get in a Cuban or Puerto Rican home. I have been to this restaurant numerous times and have yet to eat anything I did not like. The price of lunch here is less than many Mexican food restaurants around town. I usually get a fried pork plate that is around $11. It is a full meal and never leaves me hungry. The service is always great. You order st the counter and then they bring you your food. The waitress we usually have is always smiling and very attentive. The outside of the building does not look like much but you will be pleasantly surprised when you get inside, order, and walk through the archway to a very tasteful dining room. Finally, and I cannot stress this enough, this place has the best flan I have ever had, anywhere. I buy extra orders when I go and bring it home to my family. I have taken six different people there to try it and every one has said the flan is excellent. Please take the time to visit this local restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

I am really, REALLY glad to see a mom and pop Cuban restaurant come to the East Valley (in AZ for that matter). As a gringo, I think the food is pretty darn good and a nice change-up from the usual fare found in most suburban cities, including Mesa. My wife, who is Cuban, think's the food is good, but one of the dishes (Pollo Cubano) was a bit off. Nothing major and think the flavor will improve with time, the citrus just didn't balance well...maybe a one-off. That said, we have visited multiple times since we found out about this place a month ago. My favorite dish is a toss-up between the Bistec Empanizado and Ropa Vieja. Either way, you won't be disappointed. Make sure you order a couple sides of mojo (MO-HO) sauce...it's a flavorful citrus sauce that goes GREAT on white rice. Tip: You have to order your meal with an Iron Beer...it's a non-alcoholic soda. They also have a really good (bubble gum flavored) Peruvian soda called Inka Cola. While it's not a Cuban drink, it's (for some reason) a staple in a lot of Cuban households.
