This North Texas style food restaurants food is okay but a little dry. You will be able to fond things like fried onra and pecan pie and brisket. Sauce is pretty good! Quality is ok. Service and pricing are ok. No frills.

I’m sharing about the food. The goodies. This location I’ve been to only 3 times recently. Staying in the neighborhood for the summer…lol.First time (in many years), I went with a friend and got take out.For me, Italian Beef.One for now and one for later, so not wet.But with the goods for later.Second time, pork ribs.Third time, Brisket Sandwich.So, 3 times in 3 months.Each time the food has been fantastic. The Italian beef was one of the best I’ve had and I’ve had them in Chicago, and around town here regularly at Portillos and Luke’s. I like them both very much.Excellent.Pork ribs next time. When fresh they were great. A bit dry as leftovers.The brisket sandwich.3rd time. OMG.Wow. Juicy. Smoky.FAT! I mean a fat sandwich. Not fatty. HUGE! I honestly couldn’t finish it in one sitting.The place is basic.Service was good.Typically get take out but man.Soooo good.The place is solid.Highly recommend.

I am a huge BBQ fan but have never tired Tom's. I go to school near by and ordered a pick up order the food was FANTASTIC! Large portions as well. I got the pulled pork and my boyfriend got the beef and cheese wet. And both were amazing I could only get a bite of the beef and cheese before he devoured it! Will be back for sure.

Cold pulled pork has no flavor, no sauce. Its s grey ball slapped onto a cold roll. Did they even bbq the pork? It had no bbq flavor And that mac and cheese is boxed velveeta with extra velveeta melted in, then mixed with water. The sauce tatests like Great Value. Yuck will never go

The food was ok but I was charged an additional dollar for each menu item I ordere. when I asked the cashier why the posted cost did not reflect the price I was charged she tried to claim it was because I paid with a card and not cash. I have been charged credit card fees before and know that is not how they work. After explaining this to her she gave me back the difference between the stated price and what I was charged. Totally dishonest business practice.

Is down to earth and homestyle cooking.. This is true meat and potatoes with all the extras. Delightful personalities working hard to serve you. The feeling of friends and family!!! Delicious sides and sauces... A definite check out again spot!!!!

We were greeted immediately by the staff and the smell of BBQ. The menu was straight forward and good options. The decor is of pigs and fun. Good came out on Styrofoam plates and we're provided plastic utensils... disappointing because the meal was delicious. The meat was very tender and sides were good.The only issues noticed was the restroom door (made from an old coke vending machine door). It was out of place and looked dirty. One person thought there was no restroom because the door was not obvious.Overall, a good spot for authentic BBQ.

I had been feeling fine all day but 30 minutes after eating this I got so sick. It tasted like they fried it in old oil. I was running to the bathroom and then in there for long periods of time. I had to call out of work for my second job because of it. Sucked to leave such a terrible review because the first time I had it the fish tasted so good but this time it tasted like old oil maybe from the day before? I've worked in restaurants before and if you don't replace the oil that's what it tastes like. The French fries were terrible they tasted like if someone fried them originally then let them sit for a long period of time then microwaved them... they were pretty soggy and flavorless.
This place was recommended by our Airbnb hosts, and they know their food! The walk-up counter ordering was super quick, and they brought our food out to us at our tables. The locals eat here and are on a first name basis with those behind the counter, which added to the homey atmosphere. The food was amazing, and the service was friendly and quick. I would definitely recommend Tom's BBQ!

BBQ joints are a dime a dozen but there are few that are truly worth a visit. I checked the reviews and sure enough, they were correct. BBQ was amazing and service was wonderful, I mean, really great! Only thing is I tried the Chicago Style Hot Dog and was not a fan but perhaps it was just me. I don't really care for anything Chicago but a hot dog should not have too many veggies. Other than that, I'd say the BBQ is top notch!

Tom's BBQ is a Mesa Staples Landmark you have to stop at Tom's BBQ if you're in the area because they have the best rib tips the best fried pickles food you have to try the mac and cheese or fused with jalapenos is spectacular another good dish is the hot links you will not go wrong with hot links cornbread is spectacular as well and the barbecue beans you can go wrong with them now the cash register lady waitress she is the most nicest lady we have had the pleasure to meet just just ask her for what you need and she is very accommodating very lovely lady

Received the All in barbecue platter and the meat I was served was old. It didn't taste fresh. My family went and that was to go for me. Would definitely not get that again. Every meat tasted easily 1-2 days old for me. I would definitely not rush to go back.

The cashier was very friendly and the food was so so good. Very worth it. Fair prices for great BBQ. Their mild BBQ sauce was to die for, incredible flavor, and it's warm so you don't put cold bbq on your hot food. I love little details like that which they do for customer experience. Love this place!
