I read the reviews for this place while looking for somewhere to get breakfast. The reviews about the food and service were mixed, but the pictures reminded me of places I've been that were a wonderful surprise. I came here after walking around the Gilbert Riparian Preserve. Perfect fuel for the rest of my (pointless) work trip to the Mesa area! Knocked down one star because the butter on the toast tasted more like oil versus real butter. Service was great, though!
People, don't eat here. When I have an urgent Chicken Fried Steak requirement, I prefer not to fight crowds. This place is an absolute hole in the wall in the best way. CFS is one of the better on the east side. Very good and great portion sizes. Omelets and breakfast bowls are also great. Service has always been excellent. Best thing, most breakfast meals are under $15. Currently, this is our go-to for breakfast. Please don't tell a lot of people.
