If you looking for real German flavor, then give it a go. The rational in excellent. The sauce was perfect. I could go on and on. My advice is try it yourself

The food was good. Not exceptional. Disappointed only pork. Red kraut good. Spaetzel a bit bland. One member of our party had potato dumpling they liked it. Was just hoping for more. We’ve eaten at other German places and usually a more robust menu.

Last year I was with a party of six dinner at Zur Kate. The food was great the service was wonderful friendly and attentive. Because of that experience on two subsequent occasions I decided to go and get a carryout for myself. Both times I sat at the very small bar to order my carryout and had a beer. The gentleman behind the bar who I believe is the owner, barely looked at me. I noticed other people being waited on yet I sat there unattended to. Finally maybe 15 minutes after I had been there he asked a waitress to take my order. He was cheerfully talking to others at the bar. I assume they may have been regulars. The food that I took home was subpar, nothing like what I had for dinner when I was with the party of six. I felt almost invisible and with the food being subpar after the second attempt I have decided it's not worth going back. Perhaps if you are with a larger party or possibly if you're a regular you might have a good experience.

Such a cute place! Very friendly. Great service. Simple menu but oh so good. I love the red cabbage. My son loves the spatzel. Super yummy bread served to the table as well

Amazing restaurant! Food & beer was delicious plus the atmosphere is lovely. I left the restaurant feeling like I just had an amazing home cooked meal at a family friend’s house. The live music was really nice as well. I can’t wait to go back again

This was hands down one of the best German restaurants I’ve been to — reasonably priced and absolutely delicious food!

While visiting friends in town, they recommended we come here for dinner, and I’m so glad we did. From the outside, the restaurant might not look particularly inviting, but everything changes the moment you step inside. The decor is charming and authentic — it truly feels like being transported to a cozy restaurant in Germany.

To top it off, there was live music that added such a nice touch to the atmosphere. The waitresses, dressed in traditional Dirndls, were all super friendly and attentive.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the rye bread — it was actually quite tasty! My Jäger Schnitzel was perfectly crispy and paired wonderfully with the spätzle and red cabbage.

A lovely final touch was the complimentary apple schnapps that came with the bill — a perfect ending to an excellent meal. Highly recommend
