The food was good. Not exceptional. Disappointed only pork. Red kraut good. Spaetzel a bit bland. One member of our party had potato dumpling they liked it. Was just hoping for more. We’ve eaten at other German places and usually a more robust menu.
Last year I was with a party of six dinner at Zur Kate. The food was great the service was wonderful friendly and attentive. Because of that experience on two subsequent occasions I decided to go and get a carryout for myself. Both times I sat at the very small bar to order my carryout and had a beer. The gentleman behind the bar who I believe is the owner, barely looked at me. I noticed other people being waited on yet I sat there unattended to. Finally maybe 15 minutes after...
Amazing restaurant! Food & beer was delicious plus the atmosphere is lovely. I left the restaurant feeling like I just had an amazing home cooked meal at a family friend’s house. The live music was really nice as well. I can’t wait to go back again
