We made the ride to Oatman so my wife could get a Navajo Taco at the Olive Oatman Restaurant. We have been there many times and always enjoyed good food and great service. This time, at shortly after noon on a Saturday, the door was locked with no explanation. The menu is still posted out front and all looks like normal. Are they closed permanently??? Lots of folks trying the door as we stood outside, the Oatman Hotel was doing a great business. Sorry to miss the Olive Oatman, anyone know the story????

The service was good (cash only) My wife and I had bowl of chili, it was canned with some kicked up touches, we also had the fry bread about 6 inches diameter with Cinnamon and sugar topping. Def. One person size and for the price wouldnt hurt to be bigger, fun town fun history.

Perfect spot to eat while in this old western mining town! Lots of nostalgia on the walls, fun to take a look and walk around. Even if you're just grabbing a cool glass of sweet tea. The walls make it that much better. Rib-stickin' yummy food, like visiting a friend out in the country. Breakfast to burgers, there is something you'll find delightful. Gotta pick up some of the Fry Bread though, that's what we always stop in there for. Just like Grandma used to make! Crunchy and dough-y. They started putting a dust of sweet on the bread though lately, we don't remember that, but it's still really good. Perfect with the jelly. You can tell that the help is long-time locals, they are friendly and know everyone. Fun to listen to them talk with each other. They seem to take pride in their little town. Don't forget to grab a bag of burro food (or a stuffed one) on the way out! CHEERS!!

We went on a busy Tuesday for lunch. There was a bit of a wait to get in, but not bad and there are benches outside to wait. Only one server, but she was outstanding! She remained friendly even when flustered and we were served very quickly. Make sure to get some frybread, it was delicious.

I'm allergic to wheat so I wasn't sure I would be able to get anything at this restaurant. But I had felt the same way at a pizza place and was fully accommodated. I saw that they had chili fries so I asked the waitress if the chili had any flour in it (some ground burger has flour filler). Every single waitress that I have asked about wheat has answered, "Let me check for you," and gone to the back to find out. This waitress said, "Oh, gluten free.... I don't know so will just say, yes it does." I thought, "O-Kaaay..." My second choice was a chicken salad but was told that all of their chicken was breaded. Even their tortilla chips were flour tortilla chips, I was told. I've never heard of this before - tortilla chips are always corn chips - but now I couldn't even get the nachos. Completely frustrated I said that there wasn't anything I could eat. One of our party pointed to a "BLT Salad". So I ordered that - at which the waitress said, "Do you want cheese on that - I'm thinking no." The audacity! "I'm allergic to wheat not dairy!" I snapped, "So yes, I'll have the cheese on it." After she left my brother noted that she had an attitude which I too had felt coming from her. I said, "She must think I've chosen to be 'gluten free' or something." She brought a small salad that wasn't enough for a meal so I ordered a basket of French fries (their fries are delicious). All the utensils are plastic and the water is bottled water that you must pay for. I don't really care about face masks but the waitress was wearing one that was mesh - what's the point? On the wall where the cash register is was a poster with a woman on it saying, "I don't give a d-----." I thought, that about sums it up.

Decided to enjoy a nice Sunday Drive outside of Vegas to explore Oatman town in Arizona. After burning some miles we were definitely on the hunt for a good food spot. There was no service in this town however I did see on wifi some places available but password protected but we didn't get a chance to ask for that so we unfortunately couldn't check out restaurant options which led us to going to the first place we saw. Opened the door to put our name on the list and to our lovely surprise we were seated right away. Workers were friendly and wearing masks. This was a pretty small restaurant so 6 feet apart didn't seem too possible but people did have their mask on until it was time to eat or drink without being told to do so. 1 minute after sitting down the server took our drink order and gave us time to look over the easy menu. 3 minutes later took our food order: 2 burgers with fries and 1 order of onion rings please and thank you. Soooo for it being pretty small of a place and having the most basic order on the menu - 30ish minutes seemed pretty long of a wait but when it did come it was the classic burger and fries meal and tasted as good as a b&f meal should - my only thing was that about 2-3 bites at the end of my burger I noticed my meat was alittle raw and bloody so I just left that on the plate but I pretty muched devoured everything else. I do also wish that the ketchup came to you in packets like the Mayo did as the ketchup bottle felt and kinda looked dirty and even if it looked clean imagine how many people touch it a day before you arrive at your table. While we were there I saw two tables finish and leave and the server only wiped down the table nothing else. As for the place itself it was a cool little spot for what it was and lots of things to look at everywhere. My only thing I would comment about is the dust everywhere that has accumulated on top of all the items hanging on the walls and ceiling. They were thick dust bunches and even some loose dust just blowing in the air, you could really see it and if you are a person with bad allergies this place might be rough for you to breathe in.

Food was generic and it didn’t taste good at all despite the higher than average prices. We also asked for water, but instead of giving us generic complimentary tap water all restaurants should have they gave us their own bottled brand and charged us $2 each for them. I should have just ordered a soft drink had I known I’d be charged for water! I visit Oatman often but this was the last time I’ll be visiting this restaurant.
