Great pizza but the spaghetti tasted like it was out of a can, honestly. I’d lay money on it. Very disappointed with the spaghetti.

Was about to place an order and was reading the menu in the COMPLETELY EMPTY parking lot when someone came out to question my handicapped status and also to repeatedly tell me I had parked "weird". I was alone in the parking lot?? Was picking out food for my family? Certainly made me feel unwelcome.

We've lived in the area for 22 years, and just went to Nonna Maria's last night (a Thursday) for the first time. We never passed by the "offroad" location on our many visits to Oracle, so it wasn't on our radar. It is now!!
Two senior couples enjoyed 4 delicious entrees, a relaxing ambiance, and the quiet setting. We could have shared our entrees, because we each took half home for the next night. We were a bit disappointed not to see any familiar Chardonnays on the wine list, but were very impressed with the price and the delicious flavor of the Sicilian Chardonnay we ordered. All our dishes were very authentic Italian/Sicilian, and we were thrilled with the quality of the ingredients. We definitely recommend the Calamari, the Clam Linguini, the Chicken Piccata, and the Chicken Marsala and we look forward to trying new items on our next visit. We appreciated the visit the owner/chef made to our table to talk to us. This place can be a casual dining destination for home-made Pizza or a special occasion night out.

Nonna Maria's is a small, attractive, owner operated Italian restaurant in a remote and peaceful setting. Well off the beaten path, with great sunset views from our table. The menu has a lot of interesting entrees and appetizers and the wine list is long.Service throughout our visit was both friendly and excellent, what I fondly remember from growing up in a small town in Michigan. There were 4 in our party, we all tried something different, and we all much enjoyed our choices. The spaghetti and mussels got rave reviews.I tried the calzone, something I've avoided for 30+ years since I was a slow pitch softball player in Chicago where we always had it, along with several pitchers of beer, after every game. Imagine cold, all-you-can-eat Calzone with warm Old Milwaukee beer. I learned to hate both. Since then however, I've learned to love micro-brewed beer and so reluctantly decided it was time to try calzone again too. Much to my surprise I really loved it! There are 3 choices for combinations of ingredients and additional ingredients can be added on request. I had the pepperoni and cheese and added onions. I will be back to try the other 2 choices. ?We chatted with one of the owners during/after our cannoli and learned the family started out with a food takeout business in 1997 and then had the attractive building that is the restaurant built 10 years ago. This says a lot.
Parking: Parking is not a problem.

Admit it..everyone has their favorite pizza..it may not be everyone's favorite but if you grew up on a certain kind of pizza there is nothing like it. When we moved from northern Illinois to Arizona we knew things would be different and pizza was one of them. Being 1600 miles from your favorite pizza is kinda hard. But on a trip back I found out that the same family was here in arizona..and makes the same pizza. The staff here are more than friendly and helpful. The pizza was fantastic..like being back home. If you are anywhere close I suggest you give them a try..and if pizza is not your thing they have a wide selection of good meals that are worth trying.

As soon as we walked in, my husband and child and I, the owner told me the reservations were more important than us and will probably get our food before us. I understood to a certain extent. I worked in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years. I had never told anyone that one was more than the other. If a small table comes in before a reservation, you take their order and get them taken care of. Now I get it, you can’t please everyone, however, if you want to base your business off of reservations, then why let locals in? We are local in oracle and felt belittled within the first step into the restaurant. The waitress was awesome, but the owner/woman that claims to be more than what she is, needs to be a little more modest, humble, and kind. And they should probably work on their marinara sauce and Italian sausage. 2 stars mainly for the server that helped us. She was amazing. Ask for Jaiden to serve you.
Pretty good food. Nice variety.
