This place used to be really good but they must have new management now.
- We received a notification that our reservation was cancelled 15 minutes before our time which they said was an error in the software
- Waiter took 35 minutes to get us 4 beers and refill one water glass - the restaurant was not busy
- They forgot to put dressing on all of the salads
- 3 people that showed up after us got served first
- The pizzas all made us unwell the next day, usually an indicator of sanitation in the kitchen
- The craziest part by FAR was the manager came up mid conversation, way too loud, and then proceeded to grab our pizzas with her bare hands and put it on our plate without us asking so she could take the trays away when we weren’t finished. You’re touching the cash register and the doors, don’t touch my food unprompted, that’s gross. The whole staff needs to go through some proper training
Great service and good tasting pizza
Great food and the staff is super nice! Samuel met us at the door and was very friendly and helpful! Dylan was our server and was great too!
This place is amazingood and the staff are supercool especially my server Oceana!
We had a gyro and pepperoni pizza. Both were excellent. Loved their house made crust.
Close to home, great staff. We were happy to find them.
A bit pricey. But tasty and very good service.
My husband ordered food from Charred pie while at a bar and they delivered to us at our seats in a timely manner. The food was delicious- I loved the gyro and we had several ppl at the bar asking where we got our food!
My husband considers himself an expert of wood fired pizza! Rates the pepperoni with hot honey drizzle a 10. We are here from North Carolina traveling to the National Parks for a few months and loved the proximity to Catalina State Park. Would definitely recommend your restaurant to others. Local draft brew and service on a busy Friday night was superb. Rhonda
Servers are rude and never helpful. Food can be delicious, then just plain bad. Something is very off at this place.
Kid-friendliness: Not really seem to not like kids.

Brussel sprouts were excellent. We enjoyed waiting for our takeout over beer and an appetizer. Salads looked great.

Service was very lacking. We would have ordered another drink and water, maybr dessert, but there was no waiter to be found. We had to get up and ask for our bill. The food was really good though!

Great pizza and service. If you are gluten free be ware, I’ve ordered 3 times from them stating to have the pizzas gluten free, all times the pizzas have not been. Lucky for me I can tell the difference of what a gluten free crust and regular crust looks like. Please pay attention and get the orders right, it’s not that difficult.

We've dined at Charred Pie two, perhaps three times, in the last couple of months. We have found their sandwiches (!!! who knew that a 'pizza parlor' would create such sumptuous fare???) to be outstanding, especially (in my view) the grilled cheese. Wow. Don't be put off by the odd name for it (I have forgotten the exact name, possibly because the name doesn't do it justice). And, my wife just loves the buffalo chicken sandwich. -- Of course, there is far too much bread in both of these sandwiches, but the bread is high quality and tasty. Still, if you are looking to avoid gluten, Charred Pie is probably a place to avoid, as they don't sell much (if anything) that isn't filled with gluten.
In any event, on the gluten-OK days, I highly recommend Charred Pie, with the following provisos:
1.) Until Saturday (when we ate there after seeing the moving "Conclave"), I had just thought that the service was slow. It does take 'a while' to get your food. But, then I realized that this is, likely, intentional on the part of the management. Unlike some places, they don't rush you through to get you out. You can take the time to chat and enjoy your food (which, of course, if you take up their real estate for an 'extra' long time, you should increase your tip ....). So, it is a nice, relaxed delivery speed. If you need it faster, you would do well to tell the server you're in a hurry.
2.) I, very, very much, dislike the 'decor' on the inside. Similar to The Parish (Orange Grove and Oracle, NW corner) the management has fallen in love with black painted walls, black ceiling, and 'light' bulbs which put out almost enough light to see the person sitting across the table from you. I exaggerate -- slightly -- for emphasis. But, it may not have occured to the Management that when there is almost no interior illumination, and you have these big 'picture' windows from which a great bit of light streams in, it makes it very hard, for some of us, anyway, to see because of the glare from the outside -- it's like driving with all the cars on the other side of the road having their "brights" on. Your eyes have adjusted to near total darkness, and then you are blinded by a bright light.
I like Charred Pie. But, I don't like the milieu.
