The quality of the food was terrible at the green valley location. Extremely over cooked, dry, zero flavor. “Do not recommend at all”.

Half of food came out cold. Waited 45 minutes. Green chile was almost a gravy with no spice. Tortillas were good. Also, server auto grat party of 5 20%. Will not return

I have been here many times but shy away because the service is so subpar. I just keep coming back because the food is so delicious. Today I was craving the chili con carne so I decided to bite the bullet. When we walked in, we were greeted by an employee I had not seen before. Kyle Came to our table got our drink and food order and was so attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly and we never had to ask for refills. The service was EXCELLENT! Thank you Kyle!!

Their food is bland. Little or no seasoning. This seems to be their norm after eating there four times over the last 18 mo.

This was my first time there with my family, the salas had a nice kick to it, I liked it. The food was ok, I just don't think I would make a trip just to go eat over there. The food was kinda bland I didn't taste any spices.

Best New Mexican food in town! The hatch chili is awesome! And the people serving and cooking the food are amazing?.

I used to pop in as able for lunch when on the NW side. During my recent visit it was very noticeable that things had changed.
While still decent food it's no longer the flavor powerhouse it once was. Unfortunately the layered intensity of flavors just seemed muted in comparison to my past visits.

Parking: It's in a strip mall and parking nearby can sometimes prove challenging.

Yet another wonderful Tucson Mexican restaurant. This place is a little bit funky, but has excellent vegetarian options. The meat here was really excellent. Both the chicken and the beef were really well done. I also had some green chili clam chowder. Wow this place was really good. Very attentive and friendly wait staff, and the owner is all about. Nice handling of the large party, with our various dietary requirements.

This restaurant used to be OUTSTANDING! But not anymore. We’ve been coming since they opened before the pandemic as we live a mile away, and unfortunately, in my opinion they have slowly gone downhill to horrible. Their deep red hatch chili enchilada sauce used to be so flavorful and full of spice— and plenty of it, but now it’s medium orange with no flavor (and very little of it). Last night my take out dinner of cold red chicken enchiladas was just plain awful.. I could only eat maybe half of it. I have let the last two or three “to go” orders go by as maybe the kitchen having a bad day, but seems like not the case to me.
The portions have shrunk by 30% with higher prices. Rice has been mushy with no flavor—but beans are tasty. The side salsa container size guacamole was brown, must’ve been sitting out for quite some time. I had to throw it out and was charged $3.55 for maybe 1.5 tablespoons! The picture of the red chicken enchiladas on the website is not even close to what I got and have had before. I am so disappointed. I just can’t imagine what happened to this restaurant. Seems the owners and management must not watching the kitchen orders coming out. They should be tasting their food and over seeing orders. I used to order takeout once a week for years from here, but no more for me. Photo is of my red chicken enchiladas with barely any red sauce or chicken, with mushy rice, maybe 4 Tbsp of beans for $17. So sad. I made a sandwich instead.

This Oro Valley local joint is a little bit like the show "Cheers".
There are a lot of regulars, but the local tourist will feel at home if you're not expecting too much. The servers are not going to over do it but are only a holler away. Small local business that deserves support.
On the food side it has as much spice as you want! How do you want your con carne? Red, green or christmas?! Can't wait for you to find out. Cheers!
