On Thursday afternoon made a reservation for 12 at 6 pm for Friday. Arrived promptly at 6. Place was almost empty (should have been a clue. Nearly empty restaurant on Friday evening isn't a good indicator). They had no record of the reservation. They did pull a bunch of tables together and seated us.

Food isn't bad, it's not amazing by any stretch of the imagination though and a little pricey for what it is (no value options really). Probably would have given four stars but the wait time for food is excessive even when there's barely anyone in the restaurant. If you're coming because it's close and you have time to kill it might be okay but do yourself a favor and don't come out of your way for a trip..

I remember when this restaurant opened, and it was great. The last few times we ate there everything was going down hill, especially the service. We had not ate there in six years and decided to try again, and when we walked in tonight we thought about turning around and walking out. We should have.

The food is good however sometimes there's a long wait. I waited 30 minutes to get my drink after being seated and another 30 minutes to finally order food.

Thought we would stop by and eat quickly before going to the movies. Took them 20 minutes to bring chips and salsa and took over an hour to get our food. There was only 2 of us. When the food finally came out they brought my friends first then mine abiut 15 minutes later. Both plates were cold. There was only 3 other tables and they all were complaining about the food and service also. They blamed it on a new cook however i read some of these reviews and people were told this 9 months ago also. Will never go back. Overpriced and horriable service.
San Carlos Grill is a great restaurant in the Northwest side of town. I love their various soups. They're flavorful and the portions are huge. I strongly suggest eating at this establishment.
