Mike Regis, the manager of Dam Bar, acted with complete disrespect and zero professionalism. On June 23rd at 2:42 PM, I was shopping at the connected Shades Shop (which he doesn’t manage or even work for) when he followed me from Dam Bar, entered the retail store, and yelled at me and the store worker, claiming I was banned — which was absolutely false.
When I calmly told him that Cheryl, the actual business owner, had said I was not banned, he replied:
“I don’t care. She’s out of town.” Then he threatened to call the police on me.
This wasn’t about policy — this was personal. He was clearly emotional, retaliatory, and using his position to intimidate me in public. The employee who witnessed it later told me she was worried about her job and didn’t feel safe speaking up.
Mike also made my male friend uncomfortable, trying to hug him after yelling at me — which only made things weirder.
It’s clear Mike is abusing authority and acting based on personal bias and emotion, not facts or professionalism. Dam Bar needs serious management reform if it wants to be a place where Native community members feel safe and respected.

We received our food pretty quickly for a big group. We appreciated their service and would gladly come back for another meal, the next time we are in the area!

Since we are not from here, we ask a local and they recommend this place. We get here and wait for seating for about 20 minutes. We then get seated at a table and the lady tells us that our waitress will be with us shortly to take our order. After about 30-45 minutes later, (and all the waitresses kept coming back and forth by us, yet NEVER ONCE looked at us even), we got up and left. We told the lady that seated us and she went to the “so called waitress and ask her about it, and came back to us and told us that she must have been busy”. She conveniently put her head down every time she walked past us so she didn’t have to acknowledge us! We watched while we waited SO LONG and not one of them , on our side, EVER looked in our direction… Customer service, obviously, isn’t one of your strong points…

The food was average. We ordered two steaks and four beers. However, something spoiled the experience. When paying the bill, I noticed that a gratuity had already been included. Therefore, I crossed out the additional tip, as I decided that $42 in tips was too much ($17 was included, and I intended to add $25). I marked it out with a pen and explained everything to the waiter. Today, I received a message that I was charged the full amount of $125, including $42 in tips. Neither the food nor the service warranted such a tip. Well, let that be on the waiter’s conscience, but I will not recommend this place. Please be aware that a gratuity has already been included.

As sometimes happens, reviews paint a picture that does not match the experience. Rude personnel, quite unexpected terrible experience that was a letdown and did not leave a good aftertaste. The place is open late, the serving crew is openly rude to people that are from a different background. If you kinda get the comment I wouldn't stop there.

Delicious hamburgers with homemade potato chips! Cozy atmosphere which includes a large bar. Great after a day of touring, hiking in nearby Antelope Canyon and Glen Canyon.
