I LOVE tacos, like LOVE THEM. I stumbled on this place as I work near here but reside in Tempe. I actually eat lunch here everyday that I work in this location as the price is amazing, FOOD OMG...SO DANG GOOD, but also seeing a strong woman running it (Ariana) ? IA the icing on the cake. We see the customers daily come in and love not only the service but food. That HABANARO salsa I will straight punish myself cuz it's so good and hot. Love this place and the family feel atmosphere.

Good food, owner very accommodating, handy Scottsdale location. Noisy as are most eateries. Neat, clean and good selection of food and drinks.Parking: Strip mall - so parking varies. Found only disabled parking spot in front of eaterie.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible incl washroom. Parking another story.

We came by on a busy Saturday night after visiting family in the hospital nearby. The advertised hours of operation were a little confusing, but we were able to get a seat. We started with the guacamole and chips; nothing exciting, it was a bit bland and didn't appear freshly made. We ordered a variety of tacos: carne asada, blackened fish, Barbacoa, chicken, carnitas and chorizo - the consistent high vote at the table was the Barbacoa taco. All tacos had fresh toppings like cilantro, onion, cabbage and sauces. We added a side of rice that tasted a day old with flavor like old oil or lard?Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free tortillas.

Walked in, sat us at a dirty table. Said they be by to clean it..We had employees, Even a manager walk by several times and failed to acknowledge us. RUDE.Yet. These employees were very service friendly to the larger parties…I’m sure that was because they wanted a bigger tip… NEVER do they deserve more than 0 stars! These employees obviously are doing their own rating because they deny how bad they SUCK! We walked out with it 20 minutes. Thankfully we located a clean, friendly staff and clean restaurant . NEVER again. Stay away from Habaneros in Scottsdale!!

I’m torn about this one…We learned about Habaneros from PBS’ “Check Please” program, and I wanted to LOVE this place so bad. They have a great story and it’s a super cute family owned and operated neighborhood joint….We went for dinner, and it was busy, which is always a good sign. There was even a fire truck parked outside, the local fire department was picking-up food to go, which we thought was really endearing.Anyhow, I’ll start with the pros:-chips, salsa, guacamole + drinks were amazing.-the service was straight forward, no nonsense but kind and fast despite how busy they were.-the menu has lots of options including breakfast which is served all day, which is a nice touch.-and the tortillas were so good, I took the last one to go in the little parchment paper it was served in ?.Now the cons:-I ordered the chili rellenos, and they tasted like dirty oil. They also were swimming in it, which was off putting.-the general consensus from the table was that the food was inconsistent, they (the restaurant) definitely have dishes they seem to be better at preparing.-the beans were watery to the point of being inedible-the drinks despite being tasty were inconsistent, which is nit picky but worth mentioning.TL;DR - I ordered wrong. It’s a taco, Parrillada and nacho place and those at our table who had those types of dishes walked away feeling satisfied. Without a doubt I would try Habaneros again; however, I’d avoid the rellenos in favor of the carne asada… or something similar.Overall it’s a great local business, and worth a trip. We heard they have a generous happy hour deal and I would love to stop by and try again.

We saw this restaurant on a segment of the show Check Please. Thought we would try it, and glad we did! The Chilies Rellanos was excellent, whole chilies stuffed with Jack cheese and cooked to perfection. For tacos, had the fried fish, nice and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Also had the lobster taco, very yummy. We each had a house margarita and they are huge! Very tasty. We will definitely be back soon!

My husband and I watched "Check Please" this past Thursday. The three guests on that night raved about Habaneros. So we decided to give it a try. We stepped in at noon. It's a small casual place, with a small "bar" area where you can sit to eat or drink. The music was so loud that folks inside were trying to talk over the music. Imagine that. Our server Eva did a great job catering to us, given the fact that she was the only server during a semi busy time of day. We ordered chips and salsa. There were two different salsas, red and green. No flavor what so ever in either one of them. The chips weren't heated up nor were they salted. Bland. Plus I'm not a fan of yellow corn chips, they just don't seem real to me. I know, weird. I had the lobster enchiladas which came with pinto whole beans and rice. Again bland. But the green sauce that was poured over the enchiladas was tasty with a hint of spice. I couldn't taste lobster even though I could see it. The corn tortilla that wrapped the lobster was a bit tough, like it wasn't cooked long enough to soften up. My husband had the carnitas which also arrived with pinto beans, rice and flour tortillas. That was so so. My son had the chile relleno plate, his comment was that he makes them better. My daughter-in-law had the cheese enchilada plate, and ate it all up. All in all a huge disappointment for us. We won't be returning.

Stopped here after a hike. 1st visit but won't be our last! Great family restaurant! It was packed. Someone mentioned it made the news last night. Great food and fabulous owners/ staff! Big menu. I'm looking forward to trying many more entrees.

Excellent! We came here after seeing them on Check Please Arizona. Fast service, large portions for lunch and very relaxing. It was kind of loud but, that was because the restaurant was full with people waiting. Will definitely return! Must visit if you're in the area.
