Bob was very pleasant and knew his wines. Was not sure what to expect but the wine was very good. The tasting is inside the shed where their wine cellar is, so it's very homey. Don't fret because the wine makes up for it! Bought 3 bottles and 2-tastings of 5 wines totalling 10. They give a free tasting if you buy 3 bottles. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something to do!

All of their wines are good to great! There is no - one wine that you would taste and say "hmmm" - they are all "wow, that's really good!" Jules is the winemaker and she has won so many rewards, it's hard to keep up! They won a Double Gold Award by The San Francisco Chronicle in January 24 for their 8 Years Later red blend, so I knew I had to taste it, and then the others too!

Holy Wow! What a find. You've heard of a garage band. This is the epitome of a garage winery. Barrels, tasting tables, and winemaking equipment fill the oversized garage where some real magic happens. Owners Bob and Jules Dixon are gracious, generous, and entertaining--sharing their wine and their story with customers. Winemaker Jules is a topnotch winemaker. She's not afraid to try unique wines like picpoul blanc and sangiovese rose. All the wines we sampled are aromatic, rich, balanced, with good fruit and lots of flavor. All are ready to drink now, with smooth tannins that add to the wines' complexities. Each wine I tasted is among the best I've tasted from an AZ winery. And some of the best wines I've ever drunk came from AZ, so that's not faint praise! If you love great stories and unique wines in a quiet, idyllic setting, set your GPS to 1764 Vineyards and enjoy a splendid winetasting experience.
