Gift shop connected to the diner and area showing the Petrified Forest National Park video
Food is convenient and reasonably priced for a National Park concessions.
We had a Baby Navajo Taco and it was tasty. Loved that it didn’t have salt so I can add my own. Prices were a little high for the quality of food. The best part of the cafe was sitting and watching the movie on the history of the Petrified Forest.
Vegetarian options: Navajo taco had vegetarian chile option.

Be warned! Ordered the recommended taco and fry bread from the not bad reviews. It was the worst food after waited more than 40 minutes. We waited with high expectation and thought the food probably fresh and made from the scratch individually. But it came out the fry bread was cold with couple honey packets on the top. The taco was chips top with a layer of chili, salsa and sour cream. The taste was average. Had watched the park video more than 3 times. Didn’t know why it took so long to make this kind of food.

Extremely disappointed in the gift shop Northern end gift shop. The gift shop at the South Entrance was not only cheaper, but it had much more to choose from. The south end also had a 30% off sale that the north end did not recognize.Christmas ornaments are around $15, post cards are $1 a pop. The south end had sandstone book ends but the north end did not.None of the water fountains worked which we found disappointing.Overall, honestly, if you’re driving the length of the park go to the sound end gift shop!

Great selection of petrified artifacts and other collectibles. The prices were a bit high and the restrooms were out of order.
Magical place. They have a forest of midget cypress that sronked when the land became a desert millions of years ago That forest is at the entrance before you get to the visitors center, there is a sign explaining the origins of the cypress also they warned you not to take any of the cypress with you under a penalty of jail and 10,000 fine you can't take any rocks either. My allergies started to act up from the cypress pollen the odor was really strong. Enchanted, magical, place. Thank God for all you wonders
Nothing too special, but the store sells a good unique snack before you start your journey exploring the Petrified Forest. The fry bread and Indian taco we're both good. The trading company also has a souvenir shop if you're into that.
Nice place to visit with unique souvenirs
Kinda pricey for a bunch of things but the atmosphere and people were nice.
