Very home town feel, nothing fancy, casual, great food and service. Killer Taters with pulled pork are awesome!

We went for a large birthday party for a family member. I found the chicken okay, but not great. The service was really good though. The entire party was nice and for a large catered event, it was a good choice.
Dietary restrictions: For a catered event, dietary restrictions are not possible, so we had to do the best we could and feed my son later, because it was a fixed menu.

We've been to GJs twice now. Service is friendly, fast and accurate. The guy who rus the place is Johnny on the spot no matter how busy it gets. The plce is super clean, even the restrooms. Food is good home cooking fare. Delicious! My only pet peeve is we ordered pot roast. Pot roast is a chuck roast cooked with veggies in a rich broth or gravy. What we got was thin sliced beef only, with brown gravy. More like a beef tips or deli style beef in gravy. It tasted perfectly fine but the expectation of pot roast was not met.

My first time at Grumpys, the parking area on east side is large, I arrived after the lunch rush so I had the place to myself. Waitress met me at the table, the menu was extensive with everything you would expect. I ordered the chicken fried steak for something different, I loved it. Large serving, Perfectly cooked with cream gravy, veggie and potatoes. $20 for my meal, yum yum!
