Get the French toast
Just had an incredible lunch here with Lynda. We ordered the mushroom burger with Havarti cheese—it was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and paired great with the soup of the day (which was excellent). The place was busy, but we didn’t have to wait.
Best part? We met Johnny himself—super friendly guy and a local legend in the fishing world. He even shared a few fishing secrets with us as we talked about Black River and Horseshoe Lake on the reservation.
The food is top-notch, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the menu is stacked—especially the breakfast options and the fresh, homemade pies. Highly recommend stopping in. This place is a gem.
The worst gyro I have ever had! Nothing in it barely but salty meat and doughy bread
We ordered boxed lunches with sandwiches, chips, and brownies for a field trip day for adult students. They all enjoyed their selections, and the brownies were especially delicious. Thank you!
Always want to try something different, but I can't quit the Club Sandwich...soooo good!
I've eaten here on several occasions and every time the food is AMAZING and the service FANTASTIC! I can't recommend one thing because everything is great and they have something for every appetite!
Best breakfast and best biscuits and gravy in area we eat there everytime we are in town
Great food and great service.
We really like the place. The portions and are great. Service is friendly. Quality, in my opinion, is as good or better than the extremely popular diner across the street… but not nearly as crowded or overhyped.
Discrimination against people with disabilities
wife kids and I came in for breakfast and was refused service because we have a service animal. And was asked to leave. That violates the American disability act/ ADA requirement and is illegal. To be treated this way because my wife has a disability is mind boggling.A complaint will be filed with the ADA and the BBB. And i hope they get fined. it's ridiculous that small town restaurant act this way towards people not from this town.

Real food served hot, which is getting almost impossible to get these days. And yes, they said the owner Johnny had a huge heart and really does laugh like on his show. We will be back!

Great restaurant and dinner, but ended up mis calculating my bill and took my tip of $12.65 on a bill of $59.35 which makes a total of $72 and added that as a tip on top of $59.35 - charging me $131.35. Regretfully, I declined taking my copy and am now well out of town so not much to be done in recourse. If they read this I had breakfast on 10/29 around 9a should they like to address it. Good joint though.
