We were visiting for Spring Break & staying in Prescott. My daughter really wanted spaghetti with meatballs so I googled this place (we have eaten at BTB in our hometown) & it said it was open until 8p. The weather was cold & rainy but I decided to make the drive anyway. I pulled up at 7:40 to locked doors. They close at 7:30. I called to see if this was a recent change cause I wasn't happy. She said they always close at 7:30 & she has no control over online things. So basically not her problem. I thought I had dinner covered. Total disappointment. Until I found Ciao Bella (next to Fry's) & realized it was a blessing in disguise. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs, garlic knots & the crispy brussel sprouts & it was the best meal ever with great takeout service.Although we had a better meal then we would have had at BTB, not keeping your business logistics accurate & updated online is not acceptable & inconsiderate to customers using this information to patronize the business. It's 2024. Keep up.

This place makes the best spaghetti and meatballs around. The wait time is not long at all, even during the dinner rush.

Isaac and Donald saved the day! I submitted an order through a third-party food app and the order kept getting delayed. Not sure what the issue was, but the restaurant called me that they were closing soon, so I decided to go pick it up myself. The app didn't reach out to me and I was unaware of the closing time. When I got there, they told me they re-made my order because it had been sitting there for probably an hour or longer, due to the app issues. That gesture was really nice and they didn't have to do that.Kudos to those two!

Way too much tomatoe paste in the sauce. Sauce was sweet. No oregano or any detectable Italian seasonings. The menu shows your are ordering pasta, sauce and meatbals seperately. The came in a bucket, one on top of another and impossible to mix without making a mess.

Alright, I've been wanting to try this place for a while now, after hearing so much about it for so long, and really just because I can walk in and walk out with a BUCKET of spaghetti! Ambience, not a whole lot to talk about. Just a simple place with a simple concept, a counter, and the equipment that makes the magic along the back walls. The smell when you walk in though, that's what really gets you excited! And who honestly cares if there's ambiance, it's a to go spot. Service... sorry, gotta be honest, and this is literally the only reason for the 1 star ding in this review. Honestly, if I could give only a half-star ding, then this review would "ring" in at 4.5, since the service wasn't poor due to any sort of time wait or anything like that. Really, the guy serving us at this particular time just wasn't super friendly or welcoming, and that's a big deal to me. To his credit, he did seem to warm up towards the end and wished us a good evening. Okay, now for my favorite part -- the food! I'm not gonna lie, I was prepared to be a little unfair here, because my wife makes a ridiculous, crazy-good spaghetti sauce, and I'm a little spoiled. But, then I realized that this is not fair, since I really need to compare this to any other spaghetti that I've had at any other Italian restaurant. Have I had other spaghetti sauces that I've liked more at other local Italian restaurants here in PV and Prescott? Sure. But in its own right--and even compared to some others I've had out in our little world here--this spaghetti had some pretty delicious sauce! A little sweetness from the tomatoes in the, followed by a nice balance of seasonings and garlic that really grows on your palate in a beautiful way with each bite you take. As for the garlic bread, it could have been a little more toasted for my taste, but I would imagine you can request this, so I won't be too harsh. The flavor of the garlic butter was tasty .I've heard a lot of other good things about this place, so I'm looking at this almost like a teaser, as I am very excited to add some of these meatballs to the mix that I've heard so much about, not to mention the garlic cheesy bread--which I hear they use Boars Head cheese on! So, maybe another review, or at least an update will be warranted?..Last thing I want to mention, is the prices. If I can feed and fill up the bellies of my family of four--and with a darn tasty bite mind you--for around $27 with tip, then I'm pretty happy !They're doing a great job here at By the Bucket! Go check 'em out

Just wanted to put out a good word for "By The Bucket" in the Safeway shopping center. After being open two years, we finally tried it today and we were highly impressed by the food and the friendliness of the two gentlemen that work there, Donald and Mac.If you haven't tried them yet, please give them a try. Spaghetti is just a very tasty marinara sauce and you can purchase one or more meatballs, depending on how much you want. The Caesar salad was fresh and delicious and they give you yummy garlic bread to go with the spaghetti. The meatball sub is delicious too. Quick and affordable meals for on the go. We ordered the bucket for one or two and in my opinion it would've fed three or four. We will definitely go back!

Meatballs are pretty good. Flavorful and light. Spaghetti and sauce is not so good. A jar of Raos and Safeway Signature spaghetti will do so much better than this bucket of spaghetti.

Very quaint takeout pasta place! We came up from the valley for a sporting event and the folks working here were so pleasant and welcoming. We've never had takeout pasta before, and the food was delicious. The medium bucket with 4 meatballs and a side of cheesy bread fed 2 adults dinner and even enough left over for lunch the next day. Small talk with the folks working there was a nice touch.

I have been ordering from By the Bucket for over a year. I get their small bucket and several meatballs. The food is always very good. However, when I received my order today (thru Door Dash), I noticed the quantity has-been reduced drastically. My small bucket wasn't even half full... not even enough for two bowls. And, instead of getting a large slice of bread, it was a much smaller piece cut in threes. I spent over $20.00 for this and certainly didn't get my money's worth. If they don't go back to their normal portions, they've lost me as a customer.
