The Black Goat (formally Carmella's)

No idea, every time I try to go they're closed

Carmelo's is now out of business! As of March of 2022 the Black Goat is at that location... We've seen the menu it is mainly steaks and seafood there's a burger and a chicken entree also.

Ordered a medium steak and it was well done. Mashed potatoes were super salty.Bummer too expensive not to have good food.

The Black Goat? Outstanding culinary experience ! Erica, manager extraordinaire! has transformed the interior into what it is an upscale dining locale in the heart of Prescott. We had trout with a sauce that complimented not overpowered, off the bone melt in your mouth short ribs, and a well seasoned pork chop with chutney. All side vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. Crème brûlée was superb. Servings were generous! Staff very professional and attentive! Happy hour will be soon be happening in their redone bar area! Appetizers as well. So go get your GOAT! You won’t be disappointed!

Some of the best food that I have ever put into my mouth came from Carmella's. The new chef clearly loves to prepare culinary experiences for the customers. The brussles sprouts appetizer was phenomenal. I have no idea how it was prepared so perfectly. From texture to flavor, the chicken piccata was absolutely amazing. I savored every bite. I cannot wait to return with family and friends!!

One word. Amazing. How in the world does this place have a 4.2 rating!?! I've been to culinary school and in the restaurant industry for years plus I worked for the absolutely phenomenal Il Fornaio restaurant for years so I am very very very picky about Italian food.

We just had a cosmic experience with the Brussel sprouts. No joke. My husband and I couldn't stop exclaiming over them. Perfectly crisp and caramelized to perfection, it was as if bacon had become a vegetable!

And the chicken piccata was so fantastic my husband, who isn't one to get overly excited about dinner, was literally mmmm-ing with each bites, eyes closed. Perfectly cooked, tender chicken with a light dredging, no heavy breading. Beautifully balanced of rich butter and tart lemon and caper without overdoing the acidity. Even the side of green beans was perfect. Crisp, slightly caramelized, and pleasantly garlicky!l

That good. In Prescott! We WILL be back.

Dinner was fabulous! Skip dessert- not worth the money or calories. Stale, overdone and flavorless.

Meatball sandwich terrible bread soggy, meatball old ,sauce bitter. Won't be back
