Ordered a medium steak and it was well done. Mashed potatoes were super salty.Bummer too expensive not to have good food.

My wife and I ate here on a weekend trip to Prescott. We started with an arugula salad with a dill vinaigrette dressing. It was very good. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the fillet. Both were delicious. For dessert, we shared the grilled peaches and cream puff. Just the right way to end the meal! The service was great. The decor is modern and the ambiance is relaxed. We're glad we decided to try it. We'll be back.

The atmosphere is amazing, the food is indescribable! Best ribeye and tenderloin I've had, the beef was locally sourced and it tastes like it, in the best way! the crust alone is enough to write an essay about. The smashed potatoes had so much flavor and so creamy. Everyone is so friendly and nice they gave us a sample of the seafood chowder which was sooo good. The handcrafted drinks elevated the whole evening, even the smallest details were so carefully picked to perfection. 10/10 best date night ever. I highly recommend the French onion soup.

The Black Goat was a culinary experience. We were greeted by the manager, Erica, who was formerly with Carmela's! We love her energy and the creativity she has shown in transforming the interior and more importantly! The food! We has an assortment of outstanding entrees: short ribs which were off the bone delicious, pork chop thick and juicy with a chutney sauce, and trout with a sauce sweetened with nuts and butterscotch. Staff was attentive and very professional! Crème brûlée fabulous! Come see a great addition to upscale dining in Prescott! Happy hours from 2-5 soon in their remodeled bar area. Appetizers will be also served. So get your GOAT

Some of the best food that I have ever put into my mouth came from Carmella's. The new chef clearly loves to prepare culinary experiences for the customers. The brussles sprouts appetizer was phenomenal. I have no idea how it was prepared so perfectly. From texture to flavor, the chicken piccata was absolutely amazing. I savored every bite. I cannot wait to return with family and friends!!

Have you tried The Black Goat on Montezuma? No? Then you are missing out, friends. It was our last night in Prescott on a Saturday and I failed to make reservations at all the usual places. We had walked past The Black Goat earlier in the week and realized it was new (to us) since our visit last summer. I decided to give them a call late afternoon and they were able to provide us a table that evening. What a wonderful dining experience! The place was fairly empty (it was 5:30 because, we old) We were told to sit anywhere we liked and chose a table in the bar area. They had a plentiful wine selection, I chose the Stags Leap Chardonnay to pair with the Tiger Shrimp cocktail and the grilled peach salad with grilled chicken. The drinks were cold, the atmosphere urban cool with a masculine undertone (I liked it). Our server was attentive and very kind, she was really young and surprisingly polished (I think her name is Ashley). My husband ordered the Chicken Piccata with vegetable medley on the side, it was a perfect mix of broccolini, squash and some strips of sweet potato (or maybe it was a yam? hmmm) I digress... The caper sauce was perfect and the chicken was perfectly prepared, very tender and delicious, if he had indulged me I would eaten half of his entree. I devoured my salad, the chicken was so juicy and tender I was wondering if they brined it before grilling. The peach was also grilled to perfection; it was the perfect blend of sweet and savory.I really hope this place lasts, it was such a joyful surprise to end our Prescott Holiday with this culinary gem. Run, don't walk, you will not be disappointed!

After a day at whiskey row, I was ready for some good food. I wanted something different and unique. This place was exactly what I needed. Within a block of whiskey row, this is just a short walk across the street. The first thing I saw on the menu was goat ribeye, and I do love me a good ribeye. It was amazing! I had the truffle fingerlings...also off the wall amazing! I can't say enough about our server, she was fantastic!!! Big hug to her for being awesome!!!! Both the food and the service were, in my opinion, great! The menu had good options, and the price point was perfect. I will definitely be coming back here again.

Always happy to have new restaurants in downtown Prescott. Unfortunately this one is not a hit! Meals were very expensive. While the bartender was very nice and tried to make up for the kitchens issues, the service was slow and spotty, it took a very long time to get served when we first sat down and for any additional drinks as well. After waiting a good amount of time for our dinner, Half of our meals did not show up. The steak was well cooked and tasted good (not worth the price) - the sides were not good. The Ranch dressing for the side salad was inedible , mashed potatoes were dry, nothing at the table was worth talking about. I do understand staff shortages however the restaurant was not busy at all so this is not the issue. I hope the owners are able to get their staffing and food issues resolved in time to save it!

What a gem this restaurant is! My husband and I dined here last week with our pup for dinner and could not have had a better experience. The food is delightful and the customer service is top-notch. We sat on the patio and it was super laid-back. The inside looked beautifully decorated, too! we'll have to try inside dining next time. Our server, Cirra, was absolutely amazing and hilarious! Everyone working there is very courteous and were so sweet to our attention-loving pup. I have nothing bad at all to say about this restaurant. Food was perfect and exactly what we ordered, service was fast but not rushed, everyone there has a heart of gold, I could go on and on. PSA to people creeping the menu before you come in: the online menu and the in-house menu differ, I think it's because it hasn't been updated. Try the cauliflower tabbouleh! It's a perfect summer dish. Thank you to everyone at The Black Goat! We can't wait to come back when we are in town next :)

We peeked in and the chef came out to greet us - he gave a pretty compelling sales pitch so we made a reservation. The food was excellent - beautiful, unique flavors and lots of choices. A few vegetarian options would enhance the menu. Service was great, although our waiter wasn't familiar with what seasonings were used when we asked. Maybe a good idea to do some tastings with the staff. A couple of recommendations: Know your audience. Taylor Swift as background music? Try Spanish guitar or a crooners playlist and you'll see your patrons stick around for a second drink. The hostess in a baseball cap, "You guys can sit where you want." A dress code and some training would be more welcoming. We wish you success!

Really excellent spot! Food was fantastic and well priced. We loved the Brie and miso salmon, both were generous portions. Our waitress was really nice and even gave us a cream puff for my friends birthday! As to the other reviewer, Chris S., who complained about the table of 6 women, who were there on May 21, I was there too and the women he was complaining about seemed perfectly fine. I'm not sure why he feels the need to police their behavior and criticize them for having a nice time on a Saturday night.

Amazing new restaurant located on Montezuma, near whiskey row. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very elegant, but not over the top, it feels very Feng Shui. The seating between tables is spacious so there's a nice flow. The service was excellent, every working there was phenomenal. The food and cocktails were deliciously crafted and matched (I feel) what the restaurant was trying to convey. The desserts were great as well. The food wasn't overly filling, just the right touch.

Awful disgusting terrible ? Not impressed...frittata was just overcooked scrambled eggs w/veggies on top. Potatoes were over done and COLD. I couldn't even chew them. Was not asked " how is everything?". Won't waste my hard-earned $$ again!!!
