Chai's Thai is a family run restaurant tucked away in the far corner of a typical mall on Route 69. Go there! We think it's well worth the drive, even through the hundreds of blinking road construction lights that currently annoy everyone. (Summer/Fall, 2025) Seriously, find Chai's Thai despite the road challenges.
Three gentle, kind women are in charge and graciously greet everyone as they enter. The decor is not very inspired, but the food...Oh the food!! We lived in New York City where restaurants have to be the best of the best to stay in business. Asian cuisine is plentiful. How does Chai's compare? Their food would be in the top 5% but without the lavish prices.
We like everything, but our favorite appetizer choices are crab rangoon, fried wantons, coconut shrimp, crispy tofu and tempura.
Our favorite entrees are the curries (Massaman!) and the house specials. Our very favorite is Tamarind Duck with crispy shallots. It's the best Thai dish from California to Boston.
Chai's serves several Asian bottled beers, typical Thai beverages and American sodas (pop). Service is good--meaning it is not rushed but not slow--and parking is easy. Gentle Thai music plays in the background. The restaurant is especially clean. (Yay!) Plates come with chopsticks or American tableware.
Chai's does a brisk takeout business. Judging from the personal greetings, there are many satisfied, returning foodies.

This is probably the best Thai in Prescott. We started with pot stickers, which were delicious. I had the panang curry with chicken. Hubby had pad se ew. Both were excellent and good portions. The spice level of 2 was perfect for us. (A bit spicier than the 2 at some other places, where they dumb it down.) The service was quick, efficient, polite and friendly. It's in a strip mall, so it's a casual atmosphere, but it was very comfortable and we'll be back soon.

Great authentic Thai food in a strip mall. Highly recommend if you are ever in Prescott AZ. Crab Rangoons and likely the best had in years, actually has large chunks of crab (imitation)

Tonight we enjoyed the Green and Red Curry! Both phenomenal @3 level spice! Took it to go…….large portions, hot, fresh and packed with veggies! Worth a try! Reasonable priced for the amount of food.

Love this cozy little Thai place. Food is fantastic, service is great and super friendly. Always cooked and spiced to my liking. If you are not sure on the heat index, start with 1 and they can make it more spicy if you like. You won't regret dinner here. Affordable as well. Thank you Chai Thai!

Hey!!!! Good people of Prescott!!!!! Iam not exaggerating when I say this place has the best Thai food in Prescott and surrounding areas. I have ate at almost all of the Thai restraunts up here and they are the best and so affordable. You wont be disappointed. My favorite dish is the yellow curry. The flavor is amazing and all the veggies that are in the sauce over brown or white rice is addicting. I have to eat here atleast once a week! And my favorite drink is the Thai jasmine infused green tea. I will include pics asap. They are also some of the nicest people. Come and see for yourself. They also will serve for to go orders even large orders. So you can take your meal and have a picnic somewhere beautiful as you will see in my pics. They also have wonderful prices. Come in and suppport these guys youll love every bite!!!!!!

Incredibly bland. Service was good, and the atmosphere was nice (diner feel) with dishes served with fresh ingredients. My 2 stars are for the lack of flavor. At our table, we ordered dishes ranging from 1 to 3 out of 5 spice, and we all received at best, 1 out of 5 spice. Thus, the dish had fresh ingredients but was very bland and not prepared to order based on the spice scale. Doubtful I will return. 😞

Bright and clean, and attentive service. Food was fair. The salad was fresh and I liked the peanut dressing. Potstickers were a little burned and the sauce was too thick and sweet. The pad broccoli with beef was ok. I didn't care for the Pad Thai with chicken as the sauce was too sweet, the green beans were raw and the rice noodles were too thin. In all, it was ok. Not as good as Thai Cafe. Though to be fair, I don't know any place that is.
