My 3rd time here and it just gets better. Southwestern menu. Steaks and Mexican food. Very fresh home made sauces. Very authentic recipes.

The food is unique and amazing!! So many varieties to choose from. Large portions so you can share. They have limited hours now but will expand to dinner in the near future

Horrible customer service. First, the listed phone number is a joke. The phone is never answered and they do not return calls when a message is left. We had been there several times but on our last visit neither one of us got the correct order. My dad ordered the gringo with pancakes, instead he got toast. When he inquired about the pancakes the waitress responded “well you got toast instead”. I ordered a very expensive tamale eggs Benedict. The waitress said the tamales are used in place of the bread. Well under one egg I did get an extremely small 3” tamale HOWEVER under the other egg was a pile of meat, NO TAMALE. Worse yet, it appeared to be intentionally deceptive by the way it plated. We were there 1 1/2 hrs and not by choice. It took over a half hour to get our waitresses attention to get the check and when she was finally within ear shot I called out to her only to have her rudely turn her back and give me the just wait a minute finger. Eventually she came to our table and we were given a myriad of excuses one of which was the internet being down. I would have accepted this however all the other tables were getting service without issue and instead of communicating that she simply ignored us My dad and I have a weekly breakfast date and will be taking our business elsewhere. Sadly, a simple return phone call from management would have changed everything
Stopped in for breakfast and everything we had was so good! Hubby got the pumpkin pancakes and I got a California Scramble with sausage and avocado. Best hash browns I’ve had in town!
I am in shock about our meal this morning. This is my second time. Everyplace deserves a second chance. 125 containers at Walmart costs 32.30. I was charged .75 cents for mine. I paid in cash and was charged a C&D fee of 3.5 a creation and development fee? or is it construction and development fee? WTH! The waitress thought it was a credit card fee. SO.... with the new owner nickel and diming everyone, not sure how long they will be in business. Oh yes, they also had no change. I guess the owner doesn't provide the waitstaff with change. Let's talk about the food. Mediocre at best. But I have gone back again and again to places that just have mediocre food. 3 of our four dishes were wrong in some way or another. None of us, all local will not come back. Good luck to the owners who do not seem to have a pulse on Prescott or its people. Hopefully the tourists will provide for you. This is not going to be a local staple/hangout for breakfast. Our. server did her best. I am hoping that she jumps ship and finds a place that will not be in the same line as Colts or Lone Star.

We had an excellent breakfast here about a month ago and really looked forward to returning to try their Mexican food for lunch. Service was excellent and friendly. The food was disappointing both in flavor and presentation. My enchiladas were supposed to come with a sour cream, cream cheese, cilantro sauce. It was not visible or tasted. The enchilada meat was dry and flavorless. Everything was highly over salted, I could not eat the rice or beans. The rice was runny and more like risotto. It was a real disappointing food experience after having enjoyed such a great breakfast there just a month ago. At the cost of eating out, we will go elsewhere in the future.

This place was good but it's ridiculous to make people pay for it to go container to take their food home. I'm sorry that's just ridiculous. Other than that it was good though. Little pricey but it was good.

Our server Kayla was delightful, super friendly and attentive!! The portions were so generous we both took some home! And we love the rustic atmosphere! We’d highly encourage them to remove all of the remnants of the former restaurant and let everyone know that is now the Cowboy Kitchen. We’ll be back!!!!

I was glad to see a good crowd on Friday at lunch. Our waitress was attentive and service time was reasonable for the crowd they had. This is 3rd time and the Mexican food is wonderful, especially green chili pork. Had burger and fries before and fries were soggy and undercooked [hopefully a one off experience]
Well heard a while ago that the lone spur had closed, while sad I wasn't a total fan but I heard good things about the Cowboy kitchen. So my wife and I went, our greeting was very quick and we were waited on by a very sweet gal Christina I believe. I ordered the John Wayne breakfast and my wife had the berria hash. Both of our meals were delicious best breakfast we've had in a long time, we can't wait to go back.

Great food. My friend and I ordered our lunch off the breakfast menu, I ordered the Sonora Birria Hash and she ordered the biscuits and gravy. Both super tasty and generous portion sizes but not too big that we couldn’t finish. Would come here again next time I’m in town.
