The place is amazing but it only takes 1 or 2 bad apples. There are only 2 baristas that know how to make proper espresso drinks and one of the chiks , short with dark brown hair and usually works mon/tues , for the 3rd time didnt call my name when my order was ready (my cappuccino was cold by the time I realized it was ready and when I asked if it was mine she snarled a response like she was miserable to be there)
I go to coffee houses to enjoy a great espresso and be treated well, that barista did neither many times and ruined my experiences, she needs to be let go.

This place is dope. You get to pour your own drinks. There are so many to choose from. This place is a must try. They have some food inside and a couple of food trucks outside.

I’d like to give a HUGE shout out to Founding Fathers Collective for a great night. We came to see Scandalous Hands play at the City Tavern. Weather was great, staff was exceptional! They are always good but tonight seemed special. We were out on the back patio and must’ve had out table checked on a dozen times haha! From checking in to taking empty glasses and used napkins, every contact was accompanied by a genuine smile and a genuine attitude of happiness on their faces! The staff member in our area was Carter, super nice, super friendly and super “real”. I watched other staff tonight to, all smiling! Founding Fathers has such a cool vibe and tight operation! Grant, you and your partners run a great operation. Thanks for the great evening!

Stellar location, clever execution, and awesome vibe (especially the patio). The chief downside is the unnecessary and incessant jingoism and reactionary conservative politics — “blue lives matter” junk, corny “grunt life” imagery (especially on clothes), etc.
The schtick goes far beyond classic Americana — which is always welcome — becoming instead a toxic & sad twist on “patriotism.”
(Follow up: insecure response from owner matches aesthetics)

Not really into the concept of pouring my own beer and paying by the ounce. They did have some live music while I was there.

This is not a business so much as a community. The employees make you feel like part of the family, the owner is a standup guy who wants to foster and support families and businesses in town, and the beer, coffee, haircuts and events are all top notch. My home away from home when I wanna get out and see some friends.

⭐ One Star Review
This review is coming from a place of complete frustration and disappointment.
I scheduled my appointment over a month ago. I’m a busy person — I don’t have the luxury of free time, and I plan everything down to the hour. I knew I had a packed schedule with travel and responsibilities, so I booked this haircut far in advance to make sure it was taken care of. I even received multiple confirmation texts, which gave me the confidence that everything was locked in and ready.
And then I showed up — and was told I had no appointment.
No apology. No accountability. Just, “There’s nothing under your name. You’ll have to wait.”
Let me be absolutely clear:
• This wasn’t a walk-in.
• This wasn’t a last-minute call.
• This was a scheduled, confirmed appointment made a month in advance.
• I had six confirmation texts to prove it.
So when I was told there was nothing in the system for me, I was beyond irritated. I didn’t come here to argue or negotiate some half-baked fix. I walked out. I was done. I didn’t want a “we’ll squeeze you in” — I made this appointment because I trusted you to value my time. You failed.
And that’s the part that matters most: trust. Once it’s broken, it’s hard to earn back.
This might seem like a small mistake to you — just a scheduling mix-up — but to a customer who values their time and gave your business a shot, it’s a huge failure. This is exactly the kind of experience that causes loyal customers to walk away, and potential customers to look elsewhere. If this is how your systems are run, it might explain why your business hasn’t grown the way it should.
I won’t be back. Not because of a bad haircut or poor service — I didn’t even get that far. But because of a complete lack of reliability, accountability, and professionalism. That’s not something you can brush off or smooth over.
You can’t fix broken trust

My favorite place for coffee, beer, cocktails and ambiance. Bring food or order delivery. This place has that relaxed feel like you're at home. Don't miss the back patio next to the creek. Plenty of room for everyone.
