Been coming here for 2 yrs. It's gone downhill. Steak chewy, sauces bland. The staff is great, but the food is horrible. Have to find a new place to get my tacos and tequila.

We really wanted to like this place because it's in a great location and there's a need for good Mexican food in Prescott.The tacos were not fresh. Everything is premade and then reheated or not. The fried fish was cold and mushy, the shrimp was also cold. The flavors are there, but they need better execution. If you want to charge $5/taco you should at least make them to order.There is minimal to speak of for the service because you order at the counter and they bring it out. It looked like they really didn't have to the staff for good service in the bar at all.

I have visited La Planchada three times in the last month and a half. My family and I were visiting Prescott and looking for a Mexican restaurant that is currently closed when I mistook La Planchada for what I was looking for.A man named Dustin was outside. "You have chosen correctly," he said. "They have the best tacos." He didn't lie.These are the best tacos in Arizona! They are soft shell street tacos. Once you try them and think they can't get any better, you'll go back again, and they will taste even better than before.The lunch combo is a perfect $9.95 and is the right amount of filling.

It is clear it is counter service and we have been here several times. If you are expecting table service you will be disappointed but it is clear when you walk in the door the expectation. They have always delivered our food and checked on us. For the comments mentioned regarding tipping, it is a restaurant POS and it naturally has that included. Tip if you feel they deserve it, if not don't.Our experience has always been we have what we need and as someone in the industry sometimes it's nice to just sit and eat in peace. They are friendly if you need something and the food hits the spot. (Full disclosure I haven't met a taco I don't like) It's good I am a part timer in Prescott or this may just be my daily spot.

This restaurant has more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant. You order food and drinks at the bar and pick your seat. We had the loaded nachos, Queso and shrimp tacos - all so very good! Would come back to pop in for a quick bite also I heard they play live music as well sometimes.
The food was very delicious and the drinks were very tasty!Parking: There’s a free public parking lot behind the location!

Honestly the best nachos we've ever had. The carne asada taco was on point and the jalepeno infused tequila cocktails were amazing. Great bar and cook staff. Come for the fresh mex, stay for the fun atmosphere and share stories at the bar with locals.
