A trip to Prescott isn't complete without stopping in to Scout Home and Modern Day Forager. Scout Home has a great selection of locally made and one-of-kind gifts. Modern Day Forager has wonderfully unique kitchen items; gourmet sauces, cheeses, and sandwiches; but my favorite is still their selection of fresh baked goods. Thanks to Traci and RJ for creating the most delicious cookies ever!!

Owner RJ was incredibly rude to me. Cannot support a business owner like that. He parks in 2 of the spaces right in front of his shop. What kind of business person does that? Then YELLS at you, he was so out of control I seriously thought he was deranged. Very odd.

Such a great shop! The bread, the products, the menu...all packed with flavor, natural ingredients, fresh, gourmet!! Menu items are ready to go and perfect for your trip back to the Courthouse square to enjoy the weather. Knowledgeable owners who can help with flavors and products for perfecting your favorite dishes. Order ahead baked items is a huge plus. Great place for gifts and one of a kind items. Super fan of this wonderful place.

Visited this shop multiple times and has always enjoyed the mix of baked goods, and small business items. We had Modern Day Forager cater an event and not only was the food great, they went above and beyond to make sure the day went smoothly. The store is truly a slice of small-town charm and what I think about when I think of small towns like Prescott. The owner also gave us some free cookies to try out, which were amazing. Overall, we went for the aesthetic, and stayed for the hospitality and kindness.

We were so lucky to find Modern Day Forager Mercantile a few years ago when we visited Prescott! The desserts are amazing, and are the highlight of out road trips to the Prescott Valley. You haven't ever had baked goods like these, with fun spices and new combinations of flavors - it is amazing! Ask for the Cardamom Rainbow Carrot Muffin filled with Vanilla Cream Cheese or grab a few Doughnut Muffins! Be sure to stop by the next time you are downtown and load up on tasty treats, and buy some amazing merchandise. This place is a can't-miss destination!
