Backyard Taco - Queen Creek

The food was fine but the tables and chairs were filthy. Looked like they hadn’t been cleaned all day. They were also out of straws and salsa bar was sparse at best.
Not sure how clean the kitchen is but if the dining room is any indication of the care they have for the restaurant, I probably won’t eat here again.,

Dine in was very slow!! Food was ordered at 2:54pm and 20 minutes later I checked on my order and they said it wasn’t ready yet. Mind you, I was the only one there with another customer who had gotten their food already. I received part of my order 5 minutes later. Then received the rest at 3:24. A total of 30 minutes to get ALL the food. The food was actually okay but customer service wasn’t. Seems like drive thru customers were priority.

We come here every Friday night and always get the best service and what’s even better is the general manager Megan always comes to our table to take care of us. Not most places come to your table and offer to get you more things or take your trash away. I really love The food and service here.

I ordered $30 worth of tacos that came with no salsa or limes. I came here for the second time this month, ordering through the drive thru and both times they forgot to put in limes in my bag when I asked for them. This time around they also forgot to include the salsa I specifically asked for as well. The worst part is the manager Megan, her idea of making it right for messing up my $30 dinner, is offering me 1 free taco or chips and salsa on the house for my next visit, because according to Megan, she eats her tacos without salsa or limes so it’s no big deal to her. So if you like tacos with no salsa or limes, you should definitely come try this place out, they don’t even include them in your meals! But if you do like salsa and limes on your tacos, take your money literally anywhere else.

Update 08/2/25 - Still great fast service, still mouthwatering delicious food and still such a clean restaurant. One of my faves!

We really enjoyed dinner at Backyard Taco. I can see why it's so popular. The servings were plentiful, and their condiment bar is amazing. I love finding pico de gallo that isn't 90% onions. Service was great and everyone was really friendly. It made me want to come back immediately. I can't say that happens everywhere.

Ordered a chicken qusadilla. Took a very long time to get order despite the place not being busy. The food was cold when it was ready. Kind of a bummer.

Picked up a large order to share with friends. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed the birria and chicken family plates! Will be doing this again. Ordering online was very easy.

We showed up without warning with a party of 25 to celebrate a birthday on Taco Tuesday. The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful! They moved tables, got the food out quickly, cleaned up and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the night. I felt like we were at a five star restaurant. The food was awesome and I’m so grateful to have place we can go last minute to feed a crowd. Thanks for going the extra mile to help us celebrate!

Good food. Not near as good as the one in Mesa but still pretty good
