Dear McDonald’s,
I ordered a double hamburger (my favorite!) through the mobile app. The first picture is a regular double hamburger no modifications. I decided that on my next visit I would order extra onion because, frankly, there’s really just a few flecks on the one that wasn’t modified. The second picture shows what extra onions meant to the cook, which isn’t anything close to what I wanted. I was expecting maybe double. There were onions on the top, onions between the pattys and more onions on the bottom. Really this seemed like a big middle finger covered in onions aimed at me. I walked into the restaurant and asked them to correct it and add a few extra onions…AND THEY DID IT AGAIN! Straight up onion burger. In an attempt to remove them myself I wound up with onion bits all over me, my car, your parking lot…Needless to say I didn’t enjoy onionfest 2025 in the least.
That being said, my question is as follows;
How should I order my burger through the app so that the onion situation lands somewhere in between onion flakes and onion palooza?
Please let me know,Mr McDonald, as I’ve also had this same problem with other items like iced coffee…it’s either diabetic coma sweet or nothing at all…isn’t there a middle ground. I have noticed that you’ve added a “lite” option to the app which is awesome, but that won’t solve my problem with the burger.
Please advise.

This McDonald's was super sweet when we called in to ask about collecting happy meal toys. They informed us which ones they had in stock and gave us the option to buy the toys individually. I've been to 3 other locations today and they all blew me off so I really appreciate the kind response I received here! :)

I have stopped a couple of times at this McDonalds for breakfast. The service is very good. I usually get everything I ordered. My problem is that they are cooking the eggs too long. They come out very hard and sometimes burnt. (See photo). Eggs should be served soft and fluffy and moist.

Horrible customer service. Got my order wrong three times and had to go through the drive through three times. The staff did not care or offer even an apology. I called the manager and she suggested I drive over there a fourth time to get my money back. Would not recommend, RIDICULOUS.

Ordered a happy meal, didn’t double check their work, got the nuggets and nothing else. They said I had to come back in to get a refund. Theft by incompetence.

lady was rude when our son accidently spilled his soda then told us to keep the lids on our washable markers that comes off with wiping the table. she took 20 mins to clean up the spill and we both are managers at a mcdonalds in phoenix. its like she got upset for having to do a job she is paid for. we come here every week for a 4 hour visit.

How rude are you!!!
While I appreciate the difficulty of your job, I try and be polite and patient. I felt like you could have taken a moment of your time to help me. I stood at the counter, needing help with something small. Yet you chose to ignore me. I made eye contact with all 3 of your staff and even over heard one of them say, "I'm not going to deal with that" to another staff member. Staff walked by me to help others even though I had been standing there first. I hope that you don't treat all of your customers like that. Also, you guys did a shit job on putting the burgers together.

Worst McDonald's experience ever. Don't ever try to order from the app! They asked me to wait up front. I waited 20 min and then went inside. They had deleted my order and just let me sit and wait. It wasn't busy inside at all. The "manager" who wasn't even wearing a name tag got huffy with me when I asked how they were going to make it up to me. "What do you want me to do, sir?" I replied, "Do something to make me want to come back to this place!" By then I had been at the McDonald's for THIRTY TWO minutes. She came back with two coins for free Big Macs. I will NEVER return to that place.

Edit 2025: Ended up going back. Still not the best McDs by any means but not nearly as bad as it was before.

I have lived out here 10+ years and have never had a positive interaction here. From missing items to the perpetually broken ice cream machine and now the latte maker. I don't understand why this location can't get it right.
