Nando’s Mexican Cafe

Great service and nice atmosphere. After being served delicious chips and salsa we looked forward to our meals arriving. Sadly, the food was mediocre. I had a chicken chimichanga that was just ok as chimichangas go. My friend also ordered a chimichanga and we both agreed there were way too many cooked onions. That is all you could taste. Hubby had the mesquite steak tacos. It was disappointing that the steak was tough and not very flavorful. Another friend had steak quesadillas that also didn’t have much flavor and the steak was tough. Darn! We were really looking forward to some quality Mexican food.

Absolutely great place for Mexican food in Queen Creek. I tried a new meal they have, the Hatch Picado Dinner. It is fantastic. It doesn’t show in my pictures but it comes with either corn or flour tortillas.

Waited for over an hour for a simple pick up order of 2 hatch pork burros. At 40 min went and asked if order was ready and was told they were still working on it. At 55 min went and asked for a refund so I could go to Filiberto's and recoup what little was left of my Friday night. At 65 min asked for a refund again so I could leave and was told by the manger that the order was coming out and would be refunded. Received order after 70 min since order was placed. After 2 times of trying to get my money and tip refunded, still nothing, like the manager had said they would do. Used to love this place for the big portions and great service. The portions have shrunk and now looks like the service has faded. This is my second time in recent months with sub par service and as much as I like the food I feel stupid for pre tipping on an online order just to have my Friday night wasted sitting there for over an hour deleting emails on my phone while I wait for a couple of burros. Time to find a new Mexican restaurant.

Great food, and you can not beat the prices. Service was also top-notch!

My husband and I have up until recently really enjoyed going to Nandos for their happy hour menu. The last two times we went our food was over cooked and even burned. The first time we ordered the Mexican pizza which came out over cooked. We were able to eat it though it wasn't great. Last night we ordered the nachos which were burnt. We sent it back and then had to wait for another order of it to come out. It was good but we were very disappointed. The staff was very apologetic but we feel we should have gotten it for free. Seems there is a problem with the cooking in the kitchen. The burned nachos should have never been served to us. The cooking staff and the server who brought it to us should have seen it's condition immediately.

Update 11/4/2024: What happened to Nando's! I hate to do this, but it seems recent reviews for Queen Creek Nando's are correct. We went there on Friday 11/1/2024. The hostesses were very good. We requested Nachos to get started and they were the worst we have ever had anywhere. We have had them multiple times in the past and they were great. The shredded beef was not typical and at the bottom of the dish they were soggy and swimming in juice. We decided not to order anything else and left. The waiter was great before we got the food and made a great coconut margarita. Wish he had stopped by after we were brought the Nachos to see if we were happy. The other negative reviews apparently have not been addressed. We have two sets of friends coming in the next week and will not be bringing them to Nando's. I tried to find a phone number for an owner to let them know our experience and address it before posting a negative review but couldn't find a direct number. At this rate, I fear we will lose one of the few decent restaurants in Queen Creek.

Initial review: This is our favorite place to go in Queen Creek, usually for date night. Great food. We have tried a variety of dishes and have liked each one. If you don't want to go too far, this is a great place to take friends and family from out of state. We typically sit outside.

The atmosphere was good, nothing too crazy during lunchtime, but it was fairly busy. I ordered the chicken taco salad from the lunch menu. The chicken was not good it almost tasted like a canned chicken. And everything else kind of followed suit in the quality. Taco shell was not crispy and very oily. The best part of the meal was the free chips and salsa.

Absolutely excellent service!!! I always order catering for my parties and family get togethers. You can’t go wrong with the Fiesta tray. The food is always hot and delicious. Everyone LOVES the chimi and taquitos tray. Thank you to the friendly hosts and awesome managers and cooks who do a phenomenal job making sure the food is always up to standard. I will continue to use this Nandos location for all of my catering needs. Keep up the great quality!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a massive waste of time to order from this restaurant.

Huge chunks if meat not even cut up, super salty beans and the chips suck!

Management I'd check out your employees over sized chunks of meat in this meal.

Pros: the service was really good. As were the chips and salsa.
Cons: the food was not good. I order birria tacos at most Mexican places, if they’re on the menu. These were the worst I've had. No flavor and soggy! My sister in law also didn’t like her pork tacos at all. Pass on this place!
