The food was delicious and the portions met the price (really think you get more food for the price). The service was great! We had a huge party and the service was still spectacular! The atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. We'll be back when we come back to town. The salsa was delicious!! Wish I could bring some home.

Im from out of town and last ate here Nov 2024. Up to that time everything was GREAT... Service... Food...I even recommended to some friends who became a fan of this establishment. Fast forward to present day November 2025. First thing I noticed was how long it took for me to be seated, I then noticed how they changed my menus and the imagery describing what the meals were had been replaced with a script only menu. I really used to enjoy the complimentary bean dip they provided, it's changed as well and it's just very basic beans.
Unsure what to get to eat from the new script only menu, I played it safe and I ordered the shredded beef tacos. They showed up and they were wrong, I got ground beef instead. The waitress took note of it and made the correction. While I was waiting I took a look at my plate and I noticed that It was chipped heavily in certain spots as if it had been dropped on the floor at some point. This is not very appealing visually. Like I said before, I really used to love this place but it has taken? a heavy nose dive for some reason. I will no longer recommend this establishment to anyone traveling to Safford. I'm saddened that I'm going to break the news to my good friends who I used to bring here from out of town.

Chips tasted old, my taco salad was served with cold meat, and they don't even serve queso, real queso, not cheese sauce. Maybe just being from Texas we are used to a different taste, but this is the 4th time we've eaten here when we come to visit family (because my MIL loves it).

The watress took15 minutes before anyone brought chips. Then another 10 min before she asked what we wanted to drink. Finally she came back took our order. The food came fast everything was cold. The best part of the meal was the beans. Brought us a ticket and never came back for the card. We went to the front to pay waited another 15 for anyone to come take our money. We'll check that off of restaurants to eat at. When we got there there were not that many people there. When we left there were people standing all over the front of the restaurant waiting to be seated if they only new what they were in for.
I was only there for a little bite, but the staff was friendly and quick!

Ate at El Charro yesterday for the first time in quite a while. Disappointed in the service as the place was pretty empty & we sat for almost 10 minutes before our order was taken. Restaurant was freezing, getting order was pretty fast but food cooled down fast with the place being so cold. Party of 4 adults & 1 child for late lunch was pretty costly at over $100. Will not be doing this again anytime soon.
