Brought my daughter here to show her what Mel's was about when I was her age and it's so unfortunate to say, I was deeply disappointed 😞 No greeting, The cashier was this young buck that didn't know how to smile or show positive behavior towards the customers. After we ordered our food, I went back up to the counter to order a couple shakes and observed his back turned from the register and playing on his phone. I had to say something to get his attention, he gave me a cup that was only 75% full, I asked if he could complete by filling it and he sighed in frustration as he took the cup. There was a huge dead cockroach laying in the aisle. I noticed the cook kept going to the back for minutes at a time, then tending to the grill with dry hands and no gloves. Giving her the benifit of doubt that she might have possibly just dried her hands really well, we still continued to take our order to go. But to top it all off and completely made me regret coming here, the burgers were overcooked, hard and dry. This is not the place I remember in so many ways but it's so unfortunate that the service and food is like this, I was at least expecting that to stay the same. I'm seriously trying to figure out how this place is still running without its quality in the food. Definitely going to la Casita next time

Was our first time in San Manuel and Mel's was recommended by my cousin and it DID NOT disappoint. The food was delicious, the French Vanilla Coke and chilly Willy were a cool delight on a hot day and the service was amazing. It's also very affordable

I live in town. I enjoy the food here. I’ve had the hamburgers, fried fish, nuggets and tacos here. I have enjoyed all of them. Service is great as well.

I did not grow up eating at Mel’s. I discovered this place later in life. It is from another time. Kind of like the old greasy spoon diner with an updated menu. Love the fries and burgers. They have Mexican food, fried food and more! Outside seating is available. They have recently been doing updates. New roof. New AC. Updated electric. New floor. New equipment. Appreciate that they are doing this. Thanks for being a part of the Tri Community. Appreciate you.

I used to have gout attacks until I radically changed my diet. I hadnt had a gout attack in 4 years but got a gout attack right after eating at Mels. I never eat out and have a very regulated diet but felt I should eat at Mels once since I live in san Manuel. One small burger and extremely greasy fried mushrooms gave me gout. DONT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE SUBJECT TO GOUT. My guess is they use low quality cooking oil, dont change it enough, and cook everything on their menu in the same grease. Very unhealthy. Never eating there again.

Thr fryer was down today so I got a Patty melt for a side. I actually got the Jumbo Southwest Cheeseburger and it is amazing! Very fresh and delicious! I would definitely come back as the food is food and the people are friendly. Thank you so much! ?

I have been wanting to eat at this place for years. My co-workers always talk about it. Well I had a burger craving and drove out. Was worth the drive. The place was busy. The burgers and cheese curds were hot and fresh. Loved the ice cream!! Totally recommend. :)
