To start off with the good, the rangoons were the best I've ever had, and the eggrolls were very good, too. The seseme chicken was on the savory side and overly saucy, but not bad tasting, just not what I was expecting. The rice was as plain as can be, but not dry or sticky. Overall, the actual food might be the only reason this place is in business.
Now for the bad, and it is really bad. To start out with, you are expected to grab your own pamphlet menu and order at the counter, including tipping prior to service. The fountain drinks are out of service, and you have to buy canned beverages or get free bottled water, as they don't serve water in glasses from a pitcher. They serve the food in disposable paper bowls and give plastic plates and cutlery. The disposable plastic plate looked like it was used and washed. NASTY! My fork broke 2 minutes into the meal, and my water bottle was not very cold.
Despite being the stingiest eating experience I have ever had, including family reunions and from rez roadside frybread, the price of the meal was still only slightly cheaper than other Chinese restaurants with full service dine-in. $40 for 2 entres and 2 sides.
The atmosphere was non-existent. No music. No chatting with the waiter. Nothing except for a quiet chinese talk radio station coming from somewhere in the back. It felt like visiting someone in the hospital. Almost no artwork or decorations to speak of. No real menus. They could move out tomorrow, and the only thing they'd have to take down would be the sign outside.
First visit but the food was very good. Will try a few others in the area as we just moved here but will come back again.
It gets 5 stars on the hot and sour soup and the cream cheese wontons. Since coming to Arizona 5 years ago, I haven't found a Chinese restaurant with good hot and sour soup or crab rangoon until now. We lived in Gilbert 4 years and none of the ones nearby got it quite right. Now that we're in Queen Creek, I decided to try this place nearby. It's good! The rangoon are small, not a generous portion for the price, but they are delicious. Not too sweet or gooey. The hot and sour soup is amazing. Instant cure for a sore throat. Despite the higher prices, from now on this will be my go to place.
Mostly carry out but there is seating inside. Food is good but not stellar. The friend rice isn’t that great but everything else I have had there is fine! Have been a couple of times. Will go again! Staff is very nice.
Service was okay, they did have a hard time answering my questions about the food. But the food…the food is hot (to the touch, which is good if it’s fresh) and disgusting. There’s not one thing that I ordered that I can say I enjoyed, I took 2 bites and nearly threw up.
I don't understand the need to add so many veggies to a Mongolian Beef dish. It was pictured in Uber eats as almost all beef with some spring onions. As you can see from my photo this dish is mostly vegetables. In fact, I would say it's 75% vegetable. This is becoming a thing with Chinese restaurant and I don't get it. If you're trying to cut costs, most people would prefer smaller portions and better quality.
DEC 2024...DINE IN..WAS SURPRISED TO HAVE OUR FOOD PRESENTED IN PLASTIC CONTAINERS..(WE WERE THERE FOR DINE IN). WE WERE EQUALLY SURPRISED TO BE GIVEN PAPER PLATES AND PLASTIC FORKS.

I want to like this place and have given it 3 chances, mainly bc the staff is always so friendly and there aren't many asian places in qc/stv. I got the chicken lo mein and dumplings twice and teriyaki chicken once. My kids have ordered other various dishes. The food is just so bland and very oily every time. I tried adding soy and other sauces myself to make it better but it just isn't worth it. Dumplings are good though. A lot of the food comes on a bed of lettuce, which isnt bad, its just weird. (I have a picky kid that wont eat it if lettuce is stuck to it lol). I will keep searching for good Chinese food here.

Our take out was inedible. Rice old and discolored. 3 dishes all bad. Won't be back.

Think the orange chicken is fantastic. Friendly staff. Nice ambiance. Have been to China chef, Golden harvest, my kitchen, none of their orange chicken has the kind of crunch and crispy texture that this establishment has perfected. Would recommend. They do use a lot of syrup in their recipes, but other than that the flavor overall end product is very well crafted.
Parking: Plenty of parking spaces to choose from.
