Original Golden Skone

Definitely a GREAT family-owned business and wonderful food!The people in there treat you like family.Can't say enough about the food portions and prices.Both my wife and I can only eat half our meals the first time, and save the rest for another meal!The fries are definitely unique and tasty! Not soggy at all.Definitely support this local business when you're looking to save on cooking and treat yourself to a home-cooked meal.

My friends & I were visiting Queen Creek from Tucson. Found this on Google and decided to try it. Oh my! We were so glad we did! Excellent, friendly service. Delicious sandwiches and those double dipper fries were incredible. And of course we had to have the scone desserts and they were yummy. We all agreed we'd drive up here just to eat at Golden Scone... it's that good!

Stopped by while on duty was amazing food and great atmosphere. Sad I live too far away but will be back when I work or visit.

Hands down the best place to go if you are hungry for a sandwich. Forget the fast food chains, the Golden Scone has them all beat. Come hungry too, you will get a big sandwich that will definitely hit the spot!

This is a copy of the google Reviews I posted earlier. After a musical at the Combs perforrming arts theater we stopped by for a bite to eat. The cashier was super friendly and made us feel like we were family. We have never dined with Original Golden Skone so a sample was offered and that was the end of being apprehensive. Wow mouth watering and delicious. Our order consisted of 4 half order sandwiches upgraded with a combo of fries and a drink. Lets work our way through each meal. Lets start with mine. Turkey sandwich, lettuce, tomato and onion. Perfect distribution of each. Tender meats and the fry bread was to perfection. The fries were thick curly and not a single one over or under cooked. The home made sauce that came with its was delicious. Tangy and robust but did not take over the flavors of the rest of the meal. Meal 2 and 3 were hamburger and refried beans. Perfectly cooked and just like the first meal perfect. The 4 was roast beef. This was delicious just a little light on the meat. We ordered this one with cinnamon desert fry bread. Delicious. Next time we are in the area we will stop by. Side note; we had 2 picky eaters that usually only eat chicken nuggets. They finished their entire meal. Thanks again for the wonderful meal.

Really loved it on many levels. The service was great, a really helpful guy. The food was great, these Skone sandwiches are huge. And the nostalgia...being a native Arizonan, born and raised in Mesa, I remember these Golden Skone restaurants around the East Valley in the 1970's.I lived some years in Utah, and there was a Sconecutter restaurant on State Street in Salt Lake City that we would drive half way across the state on a Saturday night to get a scone there and these are very similar.Very happy to find this restaurant back in business and being operated by the original owners son and daughter in law.

Imagine fry bread turned into a sub shape. Delicious! Great family friendly atmosphere. The recipe of the fry bread has a great flavor. The fries were amazing and GF.

Golden Skone is a unique little local restaurant that has good food and lot of heart! The skones are unlike any scone you've ever had! They are light and soft and stuff full of the yummiest ingredients! The sauces are great too! The best part though are the fries! You can scoop up the sauces or get them loaded with toppings. You will be so glad you stopped by this little place and you'll want to come back!

Golden Skone is a fantastic locally owned business in San Tan Valley. The food is unique, the restaurant is clean and the staff is always friendly!

Oh my gosh!???These are phenomenal! I'm a native girl and their fry bread is uhhh-mazing!Also the customer service is top notch! They are such kind hearted people who truly love this business and the people they serve!Thank you for the delicious treat today!

I took the family to The Original Golden Skone after seeing a post on Facebook and everyone loved it! The staff went above and beyond to make it a great experience for us. We tried a few of the sandwich scones (hamburger one was amazing!) and a dessert sampler, so good! The ambience is very welcoming. My husband wants to go back for live music nights and my kids vote that this is our family’s new favorite place.

It's pretty good but it's not real fry bread as noted on the street sign. It's also smaller. Price is a bit high for it's size. The staff are friendly. I'd still come back here and strongly recommend you try it. Call ahead cause there's a wait while they make it fresh.

So very good! Just a heads up, it's definitely not scones. It's very, very close to fry bread. Customer service was awesome. Hamburger skone was 10 times better than the chalupa at tacobell.
