Lilibet’s Bakery & English Tea Room

Came in about 40 minutes before closing Friday afternoon. We purchased 7 cupcakes and some scones. Gentleman working was NOT personable in the least. Treats were amazing but server was not. Maybe he was having a bad day but could have tried just a little to at least .smile.

Had the most beautiful tea time date with my girl, cozy, elegant, and unforgettable. The marble cupcake was rich yet perfectly balanced, and the birthday cake cupcake had that nostalgic sweetness that just makes you smile. Pairing them with the Jasmine Black Paris Tea was the highlight l, smooth, aromatic, and truly one of the best teas I’ve had. The whole experience felt classy and warm, like the perfect escape into a little pocket of Paris. 🍰☕️

Avoid Sweet Escapes Tea House (aka Lilibets / 12 Cupcakes).

I booked my daughter’s 4th birthday tea after confirming they’d be open on Labor Day—days before, they canceled, leaving no chance to book elsewhere. Strike one.

For $160, the food was beyond disappointing. The “sandwiches” were nothing more than peanut butter & jelly, hummus, and chicken salad slapped on cheap store-bought bread—completely lazy and unimaginative. The baked goods were dry and flavorless, with the only highlight being the scones, which were decent but hardly worth the price. Afternoon tea should feel indulgent and creative (think brie, fig jam, fresh apples, handmade bread). This felt like a lunchbox passed off as fine dining.

Pair that with rude service and confusing signage, and you’ve got one of the worst afternoon teas I’ve ever experienced. Overpriced, uninspired, and absolutely not worth it.

My best friend and I did the tea time ($55) and it was wonderful!!! Our waitress Jade was very kind. They have a great tea selection and the decor is beautiful! This is the perfect girls day! We also met Mary Beth (I think was her name, so sorry if I’m wrong about this). Anyways on google it’s known as either “21 cupcakes” or sweetscape bakery tea room. I was able to email them to book our tea time and they got back really fast! The food and desserts were yummy and they were so nice about us staying for a long time (we did go on a Friday) anyways this bakery is adorable and I’d totally come back!:) it’s the closest tea room to me it’s nice to have one in Scottsdale

SweetScape was incredibly accommodating with multiple very specific requests for a cake for my nephew’s birthday. I genuinely can’t get over how amazing the cake looks as well. I wanted to do a cake based on the Marvel character Venom and they not only nailed it, but hit it straight out of the park. I cannot wait for my nephew to see it. Would recommend SweetScape to anyone and will definitely be coming back.

The most perfect tearoom

I had the tea service at SweetScpae today, and it was exactly everything I hoped it would be.
I cannot say enough good things about our warm and inviting experience, and the excellent food and drink that we had.
I walked by the bakery by chance and the beautiful tearoom in the front of the shop immediately caught my eye. When I called to reserve a table, they made sure to collect any dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences, and explained all they had to offer along with the very reasonable price.
We had the loveliest time. We had the most delicious herbal tea, the sandwiches were so excellent even my child loved them, and the desserts were absolutely perfect. They even brought out a special dessert for one of our birthdays.
The size and feel of the bakery/tearoom is just perfect. It serves as a bakery, and also has four tables in the front for the tea service or eat it desserts, decorated like a classic tearoom. It's so pretty and charming, and the perfect size for a traditional yet modern, and comfortable yet special experience.
We got to chat with the owner and chef, Patrick, and felt so taken care of. We appreciate not only the quality but the obvious care they have for this place and the people who come there. We will undoubtedly be returning and are so happy to have a new favorite place.

I hear it is under new management and the new owner is some kind of world famous Pastry Chef. Can’t wait to see and try some new goodies!

Unfortunately I've become a bit of an afternoon tea/high tea snob. This is by far the best I've EVER had. This beats The Phoenician, as much as I enjoy that experience, the treats at Lilibets is absolutely phenomenal. I didn't have a reservation and coming from out of town I was bummed to find out i needed one, however, they were willing to accommodate us and were extremely kind.

Ordered a themed cake for my sons 1st Birthday. They went above and beyond what I expected. The cake was stunning and so delicious! We almost didn’t want to eat it as it was so cute, but it was gone in seconds as everyone had seconds. Thanks for a wonderful cake!

1st time visiting Lilibets and it was a proper tea room that offered amazing tea options. The service, tea and food were top notch. Definitely will be back!

Fresh every day and gosh does that make these cupcakes and cakes exceptional. I go to Lilibet’s often and I am always greeted with a friendly hello and they remember me, and what I like! Options are always plentiful and alllllways perfect! Frosting is to die for. If buttercream is your jam, then you HAVE to go and try theirs…now! Only one warning…you will return again and again for the friendly staff and the melt in your mouth goodies!
