Was looking for a good date night spot to take my wife. Honestly restaurant feels like an afterthought as you actually have to walk through another restaurant to get there. Outside seating was ok but nothing special. Service was good but again nothing special. Food was ok for the most part. Bread was great! I had the sea bass (chef special) and it was not great. Desert was outstanding however so they do have that going for them!
I thought the amount of food was not enough for the cost. A normal person probably wouldn't get full if they just got their main course. Additionally, the chairs are very uncomfortable and awkward. The two waitresses were very nice, but you could tell they were trying very hard. It was an average restaurant, I guess I thought it would be a bit more special.
Had to send one thing back. Should have sent everything back except the alcohol and the caprese salad. The server comped us a few things which helped, but the dishes weee not tasty. Fish in tomato stew was hard and fishy tasting, squid ink pasta was diluted. Salad was smelly and seemed like milk was poured on it instead of dressing.
We had dinner here and it was OK. A bit disappointing because we were expecting better due to the resort status and price. We requested outdoor seating and got our wish, but outdoor seating is in the back and very plain and ordinary (like an afterthought) with no ambiance at all. We don't recommend outdoor seating here. The food was mediocre at best. The saving grace was the caprese salad which was very good. We ordered 2 pasta dishes and one was flavorless and the other very sour. The panna cotta was a little sour and it tasted like yogurt, so we don't recommend it. The almond flour cake had no flavor and if we were not told what it was, we wouldn't have guessed. The service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. If you eat here and self park, you can get your parking validated by the hostess. This restaurant is only open from Wednesday to Saturday, and reservations are recommended. We will not return.
Parking: Paid self parking $8 for 0-4 hours. Get parking validated if you dine at Alto.

The food was terrible. The server was nice but she came to ask how our food was before we even had a chance to taste it and then didn't come back until she asked if we wanted dessert.
Beautiful spot, but the menu is limited and the service is bad. Very expensive for what you get.

The children's options were disappointing. During spring break season, there will be children. Serving Kraft mac & cheese from the printed menu or offering stuck together noodles (butter and olive oil work!) on the kids buffett was disappointing.
The restaurant appeared to have staff shortages which, of course, is not uncommon today. They did their best moving people around but it created an inconsistent experience. Our primary server did a great job but seemed stretched. Food - Caesar Salad was dry; only a hint of dressing. Tagliatelle Bolognese was good but would have been better if someone had offered a dusting of grated cheese. Our Ribeye was served full medium vs medium-rare (ordered). Not so far off to send back but not what was ordered. It was tender and flavorful though. Restaurant Manager came over as a follow-up and was extremely professional! Offered a comp dessert which was a nice gesture. We selected Crème Brûlée; unfortunately, it was was not “set up”. Good flavor but not a typical presentation. I know this sounds very negative but I mean it to be constructive. Everyone was trying hard; it's just that Phoenix now has far too many great, consistent options for a higher end Italian meal. We might give them another try but we are not rushing to do so.
I loved Alto because it went well with the gondola experience. Now there’s no more gondola ride and the restaurant completely lost its appeal. I ordered the Flannery dry aged “Jorge” that took well over an hour to prepare. The table next to us with 3 people arrived after we put in our order and got their food before us. When I asked about the wait he said it was resting. Then it came out cold.

We ate here as guests at the hotel visiting from NY. Food was marginally good. Dessert was “frozen” slice of cake calling itself tiramisu. Wine was excellent. Service was very good but entirely absent in between servings. Will not return
It was very quiet and nice. We sat next to the fire and enjoyed an amazing dinner. The staff was super friendly and always there to see how things were going. I would recommend this place for a nice romantic dinner.
Alto has amazing food! We ordered appetizers and a main dish, and we were all very satisfied with everything. The taste and the presentation was very impressive. They even brought my friends a dessert plate to celebrate their engagement. The service is impeccable. I can't wait to visit again!
We selected an outdoor seating. The weather was perfect. It was a little disconcerting however to hear the yelling of kids in the nearby pool. It did stop by 7pm. The menu is somewhat limited however there is something for everyone. We had shrimp scampi with linguini and fillet of sole on a bed of risotto. Both meals were excellent . The service was outstanding as well.
My wife & I had a great experience! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and reliving our first date there 26 years ago. The staff was friendly and excited for our special celebration.
