My friend ordered fish. It was way overcooked. $50 for fish jerky. The server turned his back and left immediately after putting down the plate, no ask if we need anything else... The busboy came and poured tap water into my glass of sparkling water. The fondue pan did not fit well on the burner stand, so it looked awkward and we were nervous about dipping stuff in there. There are too many other restaraunts in Scottsdale that are much much more interesting and better value than this place. The waitress was nice.

The food was good. We had an app and the famous aka Stetson Salad that was bursting with flavor. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the great service. The bar staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure we had everything we needed. Citizens Public House is definitely worth stopping in!

The service was SUPERB! We cannot say enough about our warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable server. She knew every detail of the menu and answered our many questions, made recommendations and found the perfect balance of being there when we needed her but not hovering. We all enjoyed cocktails and drinks; the Ol' Razzmatazz, Citizen Sangria, and Summertime Fiction cocktails were outstanding. Now, the food...oh my gosh. Some shared that it was the best meal they have ever had. Members of our group ordered The Fair Trade Spare Ribs, The Original Chopped Salad, The Crispy Salmon, The Pan Roasted Halibut and the evening special; a Gnocchi with crema. Everyone raved about their meals and the overall winner was....The Fair Trade Spare Ribs! At peak, the noise level was a bit loud, but it did not hinder our conversations. We were able to connect and felt comfortable laughing without the concern of being too noisy for the room. I would highly recommend Citizen Public House to locals as well as out-of-town guests.

We really enjoyed our meal! We ordered the beer cheese fondue for a starter and it was delicious, the sausage that comes with the cheese was out of this world. My only complaint is that we had a ton of cheese left over after dipping the sausage, bread and pears. My husband had a few cocktails that he liked and I tried the zero proof De Nada, it was good but a little bit too salty for my taste. I had the beef stroganoff and my husband ordered the short ribs, both were fantastic. We finished our meal with the bread pudding, which was great. I only wish the pudding itself had a little bit more textural difference. Overall, we were happy with the service that we received and really enjoyed our meal. Would highly recommend!

If one is going to go to dinner and pay $$$ (Yelp price category), then one should at least have nice ambience if one can't have good food. Service was fine.
