Barro's Pizza

I've been going here regularly, and normally I don't post reviews, but I'll make an exception for this establishment.

I was telling my coworker over how good the pizza was last week, but this week, it was absolutely fire!!! The cheese, the bread, and the ingredients were so good! I recommend this spot!

The best Gluten Free crust

Pretty disappointed with my first pick up pizza order. When I called to order, I was not asked if I wanted thin vs thick crust. When they took my order they should have known I was new as my phone number wasn’t in their system and asked accordingly. I would have picked thin but of course, I received thick. I specifically asked for extra sauce on the pizza but there was very little sauce much less extra.
Now to the meat balls. I ordered a side of meatballs and they were literally BONE DRY. No sauce whatsoever. Dry dry dry. I mean dry.
Listen I’m Italian….we want our sauce! Why be so stingy with it? Thankfully when I picked up my order I asked again for some extra sauce (my ‘just in case’ fear of dry food). I was pretty shocked when I was charged for it. Maybe I should have withheld the tip to make up the difference.
Hopefully someone reads these reviews. I want to make the Scottsdale location on FLW my go to pizza joint, but now I’m not so sure. Been going to Spinatos since arriving from Chicago but they moved from their FLW location so now I’m a hungry Italian in search of good home cooked Italian food when I don’t want to do dishes.

We ordered two pizzas.
We belong to both of them thin crust.
However,
one of them was thick crust.🫤
Other than that: asked for extra sauce and it didn't seem like there was much extra on it. 🤷
... Otherwise, 🍕 was made in a timely fashion and tasted fine.

Best barros I've ever tasted, over 20 years. Sooo good.

Dietary restrictions: I restricted myself from eating bad pizza. Choice not allergy.. Eating here is recommended. Oh glutan free crust too.

Kid-friendliness: The kids were a little too friendly, if you know I what mean..

Wheelchair accessibility: I rode 1 but wasn't tall enough for the other wheel chair rides.. Thanks Edna.

The food salvaged this place from a worse rating tonight. I was charged twice and when I showed my bank charges on my phone to the employee, she states she is going to go get a manager. I can hear him speaking from the kitchen but out of sight from the front counter and has time to explain to the employee what to tell me but doesnt come out. I walked back out to my car as I was frustrated. When I walk back in, the employee begins to share what the manager told her and I reply “ I could hear what he told you, but why can’t he come out and tell me?” She replies because he is too busy. Disappointing to say the least.

Disappointing. The veggie pizza was cold in parts, like it had been refrigerated and not reheated well. It definitely was not freshly made to order. The wings were dry, tough, and overcooked. A complete waste of my time and money. I will never again order from that Barro's Scottsdale location on Frank Lloyd Wright.

The night crew from 9/18 were so amazing and efficient. On top of everything we needed. They were super polite and helpful. Got everything we needed in a quick manner. Even discussed how to give a military discount without asking while we were deciding what to order. Food was delicious. The wings could have used a little more sauce but they still were good. I've never had the breadsticks here but they didn't disappoint. I was surprised at how much flavor they had.
