Second visit. Too hot to sit outdoors so dined in the very tiny indoor area. It's super cute. The Chopped salad is delicious and the portion was much bigger than I remembered. The Mac & Cheese was good but not quite big enough for a meal (it is billed as an appetizer so that's fair). The drinks are good (a little on the small side). But overall, I'd recommend it and will go back.

Service was amazing and food was top notch. The dole whip miso wings were the best thing we had!

The food seemed like great ideas with poor execution. Literally everything at had was undercooked, bland, watery and basic. The prices absolutely do not warrant what we were served. The fondue was the most offensive, having the consistency of soup so the meager offerings that came in the side couldn't hold the cheese. We went to celebrate 2 birthdays and the hostess told us a dessert would be given on the house. That never came to the table either. We left after a smattering of small plates and sides and had dinner elsewhere.

Terrific service in this small, quaint location. Limited, but well done dinner menu - looks like they have good breakfast/lunch/brunch menus also. Did not have the “wow” factor of other recent “Best New Restaurant ” winners ... everything was solid and service was great .... But nothing exceptionally innovative or memorable.

One of the worst values I have experienced. I know prices are high everywhere but this is ridiculous for what they serve. Find somewhere else.

We went for restaurant week and were very underwhelmed with the entire experience. Everything was honestly just okay. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Food was fine but nothing to write home about.

We really enjoyed this place. It was our first time here. The chopped salad was great as was the burrata app. Lucky burger and fries were very yummy. Salmon poke was average. Was not a fan of the rice that was used. And all the desserts were fair. We would definitely go back, it's a darling little hidden gem in Old town.

I always have the best date nights at beginners luck, the staff are all so kind and friendly, the food and cocktails are always amazing and it's a great quiet place to be able to have conversation.

We had a delicious meal cooked to perfection. Perhaps the only suggestion I would make would be that the steak be served on a hot plate so it doesn't get cold so quickly. Our next visit will be to try the award-winning Chopped Salad!

Great service and cute patio. Even though it was 90 out we were cool in the shaded patio with misters. My old fashioned was wonderful and the cubano was delicious.

Ashton was amazing! Loved my Lucky 7 Old Fashion! Best Espresso Martini! Both only $7 during Lucky Hour! Pimento Cheese & Doke Whip Wings were delicious! We really had beginners luck to enjoy the Crabcake special! Great playlist too! Can’t wait to work our way through their menu!

Great little hidden gem in the heart of Old Town, making this a great destination for brunch. Service is 5 star and the food was pretty good. It just has a great vibe and will go back for sure.

Visited for my first time today, and I was blown away by this place. The poke was incredible. The flavors, textures, and overall presentation probably puts this dish as one of the best I have ever had. The restaurant has a great vibe, cool artwork, and excellent service. I will be back to experience more of the menu, but that poke is dynamite.

Beginner’s Luck was such a gem. As a person with food allergies, I’m often concerned with cross contamination. The server and the head chef made me feel completely at ease. The chef personally made all of my food to avoid cross contamination and checked on me in between each course. Our server was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. Don’t hesitate! Book a reservation today!

Ordered shakshuka, eggs came out raw. The solution would be to just put the pan back in the oven right? Nope, they’re convinced that they’ve cooked it correctly and will not redo it properly. Then will have the audacity to explain how the dish is cooked to you. Like yeah man I know, that’s why I’m telling you to leave the pan under the oven/broiler longer so the eggs aren’t raw. Now you get to find another menu item to order and hope that they don’t mess that one up. Fun brunch spot for sure.
