Waiter was poor. Had a gift card which he put on wrong bill. Took 45 minutes to straighten out. Steamed rice arrived when meal was about done. We only had 3 couples. Real poor service.

It had been some time since I dined at Benihana. Atmosphere was the same . The chef was amusing to watch and talk to . I ordered filet & shrimp combo , they weee both good . The soup was different, did not care for it . The salad dressing had changed, didn't care for it at all. As far as the mixed vegetables, we were given a slice of zucchini, and grilled onion . I recall getting bean sprouts in the past and all were mixed together before serving. The mushrooms were overcooked and black . The rice had changed too . It was just ok . The sauce was changed as well . A dip sauce for the veg and one for the rice was terrible . I recall getting a yum yum style sauce for the shrimp and a soy teriyaki sauce for the meat . I won't return due to these changes

Our chef didn't do half as much as the other tables. He did only the onion volcano and that was it. Unimpressed. The waitress was great. One other issue was the wait. Your automated system is broken and when we make a reservation we shouldn't have to wait 30 mins.

Made reservation for 7:45 by the time we got sat and started getting apps it was an hour later. They did tell us they were running behind. The food was not that great it lacked seasoning. Our cook and server were nice but our bill was $550 and I do not feel like the food was worth that.

We went to Benihana for dinner on Veterans'Day. I understand that they were very busy. However, the poor service was not justified. We had a reservation for 745pm, and received a text to check in at 730 and went inside the restaurant . We were then told it would be a 45 wait, despite the reservation. We were seated a little after 830pm. We then waited 20 minutes for a server to show up. She took our orders and then brought our drinks out. I immediately advised her that I have a serious mushroom allergy and that neither my date or I would be having any mushrooms—he would not be having mushrooms because he was sitting close to me and we intended to try each other's dishes, she confirmed that she understood and would let our chef know. It then took another 30 minutes before we received the premade mini salads. It was almost 10pm when the chef showed up. I checked with him that he was informed of my mushroom allergy. He made my meal without any mushrooms. However, he proceeded to make my date's meal without mushrooms. When I advised him of the information we provided to the server he had a very bad attitude and said “so he's not going to eat then?” and “what you can't smell mushrooms or something?” It was very condescending. Since we were at a communal table and had been at the restaurant for over 3 hours by this point, we decided to not wait for a new grill to be ready. He picked out some—not all of the mushrooms and gave it to my date. The chef then had a attitude and the remainder of the dinner was in awkward silence. We can also tell that he was no very well trained. He wasn't enthusiastic about cooking from the beginning and moved very slowly, like he was still learning the tricks. After the chef cleaned up and left, it was another wait before the server returned to check us out. I ordered a hot tea at the beginning of meal and it was never brought out, when I reminded her she brought it out with my ice cream. The overall experience was terrible.

The food is always delicious. I had not been to Benihana in a while and I will have to return soon. Enough food that I can enjoy it another day.

Chef was great, food good, from our reservation time to the time we got seated was 15 minutes and another 20 minutes before our chef arrived. Cost was very high. It is an “experience” so if you have never been or going for a special occasion I could see justifying the cost but not for your random let's go to dinner evening. We definitely enjoyed ourselves but got sticker shock when the bill came.
