Derrick was a great chef! Food cooked perfectly and a great entertainer as well! Me and my family of 8 had a great time with him cooking in front of us. Great time at Benihana!!

We had really high expectations because it's been a while since we've been to a Benihana's. The last one I went to was in Chandler with my family and we had a really good time, but it was the five years ago. I assumed since this one was in Scottsdale, it would be even nicer than the one in Chandler. I was very surprised at the condition of this location. It looked like it hadn't been remodeled for at least 20 years, the atmosphere was very dated dusty and looked like they hadn't invested anything in years. Even the cook came to start cooking his white coat looked like it was gray severely stained. Definitely no pride. The people at the table all complained about the steak and the condition the food quality. The waitress provided drinks to only half the table and left us waiting for nearly 20 minutes, even to get our water. A couple next to us indicated they had been there before and they were giving it a second chance because the first time they went, it was really horrible service. The prices are high and I wouldn't recommend going. It's just not worth the money sadly... One of the worst valentine dinners I've had.

We had a 715 reservation with small kids and when we arrived they said they were 20 minutes behind. 50 minutes later they said it would be at least another 45-50 minutes.

me & my boyfriend came here last night and right off the bat as soon as i walk in, it was filthy, the floors, the restrooms everything was dirty. it took us an additional 30 mins to get sat even though we made reservations. we ended up leaving not worth coming.
This was an amazing event. The chef was great. He was funny engaging, and it’s a delightful representative. He only had been with the Benihana for 18 months.
I had with me three guests one from London to from India, so they were not familiar with the establishment. They were an all by the show. They ate more food than they have ever eaten one of which was a vegetarian. He was delighted with the tofu steak, the vegetables, the freshness, the taste, and of course the entertainment were more. Can you ask for the waitress as well was excellent right amount of attention perfect service and at the end of the day we came away for and happy we will be back.
