My coworkers recommended the breakfast burrito. Sooo good! Excellent ingredient distribution, crispy bacon, aoli is excellent, and the salsa is packed with flavor. Absolutely recommend.

I live a block away and frequent Berdena’s. Pros: quality rotating coffee, cute atmosphere and patio.
Cons: Pretentious baristas. Of the 10-15x i’ve been here I haven’t yet to see a barista smile. Also, I asked about the grade of their coffee to get an idea of the quality of the bean etc, and they didn’t know and looked at me like I was asking a ridiculous question. If you’re gonna be pretentious, at least be somewhat knowledgeable about the coffee industry and what you’re serving.

This place is amazing. We have been here over two days and the baristas are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. The espresso is amazing, pastries are top notch. While we are here visiting, this is our only planned coffee spot!

Nice little cafe, we tried out while in Phoenix and decided not to have coffee at the hotel where we were staying instead, try out a new cafe everyday. This one is at Scottsdale downtown. Seating outside and inside. As it was a warm sunny day, decided to enjoy coffee and some food outside with family. They also have some food to grab.

Vegetarian options: You do get few vegetarian options to eat.

Don’t expect to go there without getting attitude from the employees there. Extremely rude and unhelpful

The berry danish was the best thing I’ve eaten in a loooong time. I ate it too fast to take a picture but please don’t ever take it off your menu ❤️

I’ve never felt compelled to leave a review before, but the service here was shockingly rude. From the moment I walked in, it felt like the employees went out of their way to be dismissive and unhelpful. Simple questions about the menu were met with eye rolls and curt responses, as if my presence was an inconvenience.

The coffee itself? Decent, but not worth the attitude that came with it. A coffee shop should feel welcoming, not like you’re interrupting a secret club. There are plenty of places in town where good coffee comes with good vibes—this, unfortunately, isn’t one of them.

I hope management takes a serious look at their customer service because the experience left a bitter taste, and it wasn’t from the espresso.

Would not go for the coffee, but good food and pastries. I would not come here for coffee again.

Update: after I posted this review, I was sitting outside with my friends and found out that two people working there — a blonde girl and a boy who may have had light brown hair — were making fun of the way that my friend wrote her name on the cup. She had asked them to write 007, because she has a complicated name. In front of other customers when she walks away, one of them says are you serious? And the other rolls their eyes and says she did it yesterday too. The customer service from those two was horrific. Talk smack behind closed doors, not to the whole cafe. There was a third guy who was extremely nice. Sorry if he caught heat from me because I was horrified by the awful behavior of the other 2.

Would never come back.

While staying in old town Scottsdale, everyone told me where to go for my morning coffee. Berdena’s is a small coffe shoppe where you can start your day with a delicious avocado toast, and a spectacular cardamom rose latte. Scottsdale has a number of hidden gems, and Berdena’s is one of them.

This is our to go to spot whenever we’re in town! Great coffee and even better bites! The sandwich is filling and delicious. This place does get busy with the line out the door but it goes by quick. Staff is super friendly and always provide great recommendations!

I am a Cappuccino and Coffee Snob. They have nailed it. May as well been in Europe. And their food was delicious. An Oasis in old town.
