We stopped here after a bad experience in a subpar shop and were delighted. The place is very small with limited seating and unfortunately seat hoggers on their mobile devices are a plenty, so seating here can be tricky. The service is friendly, helpful, and attentive. We did not have any food here as it was lunch time and the pastries were sold out, but the coffee was delicious. Can't wait to go back earlier and have some of their food (hopefully we can sit next time). If you go early, parking should not be a probelm, but one can always park near Fashion Square and have a short walk here if no immediate parking available.
Hands-down, the best breakfast sandwich you will find in the entire valley. There is usually a wait so be prepared or get smart and order ahead online

Very good food and coffee. Friendly staff. Need more tables and chairs outside. People were taking each other's tables and chairs left and right. There is room for more of both outside.

I’ve been a regular at Berdenas for almost a year now. The quality of food, coffee and service has been amazingly consistent every time. The space is smaller, but there are plenty of windows that let in natural light which makes it feel very open. They make their own syrups, which makes a massive difference in the quality. I personally love their cardamom rose latte and matcha. Ava the barista always brightens my day, Braydon as well. He’s always consistent with perfect latte art. I will continue to come here and recommend it to anyone with ears.

Good coffee and juice. I had a cortado which was nutty and creamy. My wife had a honey lavender latte which was also good.
To eat, I had the burrito which was honestly a solid burrito. Good size and it was delicious. The salsa with it was also excellent. My wife had the breakfast sandwich and it was also a solid portion and taste.
It’s obviously a very busy place due to its excellent food and drink, so be prepared to stand in line when visiting during busy hours, but I don’t think we waited for longer than 15 minutes. We went at 11:00am on a Saturday and it’s my understanding that it isn’t always busy like that. 10/10 I highly recommend.

Great burrito and avocado toast
Cute little coffee spot. Had a matcha latte and it was as good as you should expect it to be. Had a bite of my sister's pastry and it was fantastic! Buttery, flakey, fresh strawberry filling! All of their pastries looked top notch. My only complaint is it was really warm sitting inside. Place is small but plenty of seating but just not good air flow. Didn't feel like they even had running AC and it's August. I would definitely come back again though.

After coming to Berdena’s for years because of the great coffee and vibe, unfortunately my last few visits have compelled me to write a review. I feel like the place is going down hill, not because of the breakfast or vibe but because the last few months the employees have made it more and more difficult for me to keep returning. I think today was the final straw for me. I usually order a cold brew with extra almond milk anywhere I go and here they have you put in the almond milk yourself after the cold brew is ready which is not the norm at most coffee shops but whatever that doesn’t bother me. However, they fill the coffee to the brim with no room to add your own milk. So i started pouring the milk myself which was not enough anyways, the coffee started spilling over the cup. Employees reluctantly cleaned it up after i apologized for the mess with no acknowledgement of the apology. Then i went to grab the cup to put the lid on, and more spilled unfortunately and got eyes rolling back behind their head and snarky comment about how napkins are available to clean it up. It’s not the first time this type of attitude has happened and I get it it’s probably chaotic and they have a lot on their plate because of how busy it is. However, it’s no excuse to treat customers like this. Why am I paying extra for almond milk when i can’t even put a centimeter of it into my drink myself? Also isn’t it your job to make the coffee how it’s ordered? 😅 Sorry, i don’t think I’ll be back.

Not sure why this place is so loved. Service was snooty. Coffees looked pretty and my cold brew was decent. Prefer Olive and Ivy or Press both nearby for coffee and the service

Love the breakfast cookie and very good coffee
Excellent, however GPS on certain apps may need to be refreshed, as they put you on Marshall Way. It is a tiny place with a tiny storefront that is very easy to miss. 5th Ave, just a few storefronts off of Goldwater, don't let Siri send you to the roundabout, that means you've gone too far. Enjoy!!!

Berdena’s in Old Town Scottsdale is my favorite go-to for coffee with outdoor seating. Their coffee is beautifully made, try the flat white or a lavender-honey latte, and the avocado toast is always fresh and flavorful. The canal-front patio feels relaxed and charming, perfect for catching some sun. The staff are warm and efficient, and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming. A great spot to sip, work, or meet friends!

It was a very cozy atmosphere, food was amazing (the big boy burrito), and great confectionaries. Latté art was a cherry on top
