Cool store. Seemed to have most everything you'd need. Was mostly ignored by staff which was sad because I needed guidance. Ended up just leaving, decided I'd just use the internet to figure out what I needed.

Awesome store! Everything you could want for building a beverage dispening system, or to make any type of fermented product. From yogurt to kombucha and (almost) all the beer types. I personally go for mead and wine making, but I have never gone for something and not found it. I don't think they can fill Co2 though, still have to go to welding supply for that, but thats understandable

The guy that helped me find a mead making kit (Tony) was so helpful and knowledgeable about mead making that I was legitimately surprised that it was only his second day. I will absolutely come back here... I am gonna need bottles for my mead, after all.

This LHBS is a solid 25 minute drive from my house, and there are closer stores, but I prefer to come here and often schedule my brewday around when I'll be going to Scottsdale. The folks working there are knowledgeable and personable; I recall after my first visit they remembered my name the next time I went in. They keep a great stock of homebrew ingredients -- I know that sounds like a basic thing that a homebrew store should do but other stores I've been to seemed to struggle with inventory. If you have questions, the folks at BYOB can answer them. You can place orders online, or call or e-mail them, and the order is ready when you go pick it up which saves me time and makes things a lot easier. As long as I'm brewing, this is going to be my go-to homebrew shop.

Got a new kegerator and brought in the brand new empty tank to fill. They were happy to swap out my new tank with a used but full tank. Went to swap that one out and I got a song and dance. “We only have new tanks so I can sell you a new one. But I can’t swap out that old tank. Sorry.” Are you kidding me?!?So it’s cool if you bring in your new one. They’ll swap it out in a heartbeat. Don’t expect them to swapTHAT one out though.Same story on two different occasions. Its worth the drive to Tempe to avoid this second rate shyster shop.
