This place is fantastic. We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. The fish and chips were excellent. Service was amazing too. Got to watch some MLB wild card games while eating. If I am ever in Phoenix again, I would definitely stop here again. Highly recommend.

I grew up in Az and know Mexican food. This was some of the worst I ever had, it’s not fresh or made to order. My daughter ordered enchiladas with no cheese and they said they are pre-rolled filled and can’t take it out so she ordered the green chile stew. I got the enchantment platter thinking one item between them all would be good. It was soggy, tasted frozen to microwave. Tried stew -tasted canned. Would not recommend.

Jen, our server was super fun and amazingly attentive — our food was so delicious, full of flavor and love! Gorgeous grounds, eclectic decor, sports on tv, full bar, and a menu steeped in southwest vibes. This place is a treasure and we will back whenever I’m on this side of town! The adovada, chicken quesadilla, and prime rib burrito were spectacular and seriously delicious. Thanks chef and staff!

This place is a bit of an institution as it has been here for 30 years. Quality and authentic New Mexican food. Comfortable seating indoors and out with helpful friendly staff. Large bar area as well.

Carlsbad Tavern quickly became one of my favorite spots while I was living in town for an 8-month work contract. Being in a new city and walking through a tough season of grief, it meant a lot to find a place that felt welcoming — and Amanda was a huge part of that.
She has a way of making everyone feel at home. Friendly, attentive, and just genuinely great at what she does. Every time I stopped in, she remembered my name, my order, and somehow always made the day better. It felt like more than just good service — it felt like a familiar place to land.
I’m so grateful for the people and the atmosphere here. Already looking forward to visiting again this summer — in my favorite section!

Shoutout to the random Reddit commenter who suggested Carlsbad Tavern! Really neat restaurant concept and excellent food. I had the Stacked Enchiladas which were excellent and a perfect blend of southwestern flavors. Will definitely return in the future!

I visited this restaurant this past week. The food was very tasty with the New Mexico style Mexican food in full display. The food met and surpassed my expectations… absolutely delicious Las Cruces Platter. My wife had the crab enchiladas which was delicious as well. Service and atmosphere were exceptional as well.
